Sideboard

Maybeboard

Blade deck I am testing for upcoming GP in Prague. So far I can say I have decent matchup with delver decks and the Eldrazi decks which cover 30+ % of the current meta.

After few tournaments I decided to include two Abrupt Decay in main deck. So far, this settings gives me much better overall score compared to original version with four Force of Will in the main deck. It is hard to win the first game with storm and Belcher but sideboard is strong enough to give you two wins afterwards.

It appears the biggest problem in the current meta is facing Nic Fit, Miracles and Maverick. Lands can be tricky too. I would appreciate any tips how to beat these guys.

  • Main event, 9 rounds, 6-X needed for the 2nd day
  • Result: 5-2-2
  • T1: Doomsday, 2-0
  • T2: Eldrazi, 2-1
  • T3: Shardless BUG, 2-0
  • T4: Miracles, 0-0
  • T5: Shardless BUG, 0-2
  • T6: Lands, 1-1
  • T7: Junk, 2-0
  • T8: Grixis delver, 2-1
  • T9: Miracles, 0-2

The miracles was the biggest problem of the day, I am thinking about including Sword of Fire and Ice in the main board. I played lot of trials during the friday, testing Rest in Peace on the sideboard. I found it limiting and in lot of situations I found Surgical Extraction better. It saved me a game against lands after extracting Dark Depths from the opponents graveyard.
