One of the pitfalls of Pauper EDH is how long games last. People build their boards wide and boardwipes are scarce so it is a challenge to get damage through. Spinebiter works around this in two obvious ways: it can assign damage as though it weren't blocked and it deals infect damage, decreasing our needed commander damage from 16 to 10.

The basic premise of the deck is to ramp and play small infecters until you can play Spinebiter . There are many growth effects and enchantments to make placing infect counters easier and there is enough ramp to help ensure you can play Spinebiter every time it gets removed.
