Sideboard

Enchantment (2)

This is my Christianity deck. Predominantly angels but also includes humans with which you can shine the glory of the divine upon your enemies. Cards such as Sanctimony (sidebaord) and Sacred Ground (sideboard) are such flavour cards included to show what this deck represents. Sancitmony is in this deck in sideboard because of my boyfriend's accursed goblin deck and Sacred Ground is also included due to my friend NightShade's habit of destroying people's land ...

This deck is all about getting Angels onto the board, especially Sigarda, and going Voltron on them; the humans are there as a back up. I have been asked why Swiftfoot Boots, the Sword of War and Peace and others have been included due to the not obvious relation to the Christian religion. However if one wants to envoke Saint Patrick, one has to call on the spiritual armour of the saint. Deserts have been included in the land base due to Jesus' and Moses' experiences. False Prophet ... well ... you take a guess as to why this is included! See televangelists.

Fated Retribution, Akroma's Will, Austere Command, and Tragic Arrogance are included due to God's Great Flood and a threat of destruction if he is displeased ... especially human tragic arrogance which caused the Flood in the first place. The Book of Exalted Deeds is my inclusion for the Bible. Cleansing Nova is in without saying as it is a better Purify and the flavour text is perfect for the theology of this deck. Angel's Grace, Entreat the Angels and Angelsong are not only good additions to the deck but they fit the theme very well. Revelation: how could I not put this in? Yes, it shows my hand too but are we not all equal in the eyes of God, according to Christian theology?

Cathar's Crusade is included due to the representation of the Crusades to Jerusalem, the Holy Land. Invoke the Divine ... well I don't think that I need to tell you why this is included! Peregrination has been included due to the peregrinatio or travelling for God that many monks did to educate and evangelise. Irish monks went as far as the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland islands and even Iceland (c.800). Some were never heard from again. Because of peregrinatio Columba founded Iona in 563 and St. Aidan played a major role in Christianizing Northumbria.

I have tried my best but I would love to hear suggestions for this deck. I hope you have enjoyed looking at this deck, leave a like and comment as it does help
