The Black Deck

ALostWanderer -
Saw your help tag so thought I'd reach out. As a disclaimer though: I've never played Tergrid (vs or myself) and I'm still working on my first Bracket 4 deck myself. So please take all this as "brainstorming", not as "recommendations" ! :-D
FIRST THOUGHTS: MANA BASE AND MANA CURVE
- I love Salubrious Snail's manabase tool for analysing my lands, mana rocks, and rituals as I tweak a deck. If we plug your decklist in, it reports "your manabase is struggling, playing your spells 0.99 turns late on average" (with Tergid over 1.3 turns late). For Bracket 4, you'll probably want to aim for something like "... strong playing your spells [~0.2] turns late on average."
- As you tweak the deck, I rec' taking an especially hard look at your 5-drops (which compete directly with Tergrid) and your 7-drops (which compete directly with her re-cast).
MORE B4 STAPLES? Some options to help find the cards we need and play them quickly …
- Card Advantage: Phyrexian Arena, Dark Confidant
- Tutors: Case of the Stashed Skeleton, Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Intent
- Fast Mana: Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal, Mox Amber
MORE DISCARD EFFECTS, MAYBE?
- As I understand it, Tergrid can sometimes be challenging to play because there are fewer and fewer good targets for her sac trigger as the stax effects pile up + token decks can sometimes run away with games. If you encounter that sometimes, leaning harder into her discard trigger may be an answer.
- Some options here, in no particular order: Syphon Mind, Liliana's Triumph, Thoughtseize, The Raven Man, Geth's Grimoire, Elderfang Disciple, Tinybones, Trinket Thief, Virus Beetle, Cunning Lethemancer, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal, Bottomless Pit, Desolation, Necrogen Mists, Oppression, Geier Reach Sanitarium, Chain of Smog
MORE PROTECTION, MAYBE? If you find yourself needing just a touch more protection for your Bracket 4 meta: Cavern of Souls, Imp's Mischief, and oc Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots.
MORE COMBO PIECES, MAYBE?
- As far as I can tell, you only have 2x combos in the deck (any lifegain effect + Exquisite Blood + either Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose) ... increasing the combo potential (and Tutor effects, to find the pieces) is definitely solid approach to make the deck more competitive in Bracket 4.
- The Find my Combos page over at Commander Spellbook is a great tool, if you want to lean into combos more.
MORE STAX EFFECTS, MAYBE?
- It’s hard to go wrong with the namesake card (Smokestack) in a Stax deck :-)
- If you wanted to lean into Mass Land Denial a little more, I like both Contamination and Desolation.
A FEW FINAL THOUGHTS:
- You might consider adding Feed the Swarm and/or Withering Torment ... they're IMO the best tools we have to deal with enchantments in Mono-B.
- Braids, Arisen Nightmare maybe? I play Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER and she's amazing there ... I don’t get that many sacs from her (so she may not be as good in your deck), but her card draw is always superb.
- I'm a fan of Malakir Rebirth, as protection when I need it and a Land when I don't.
- I don't see anything that benefits from Reliquary Tower ... it would honestly be my first drop.
- It's a totally small thing, but if you don't already have very distinct deck sleeves, you might consider getting some ... the last time I played vs a steal-your-things Commander everyone at the table had blue matte sleeves, and sorting out the cards afterwards was a bit of a pain :-D
Anyways, I really hope something in there ^^ proves useful, and I’m very sorry for the spam if it doesn't!
Good luck (and good skill) with the deck!
Cheers!

It's a bit pricey, but Exquisite Blood is generically very good with burn effects. If you don't mind a combo potentially showing up you can also use Sanguine Bond, which also happens to love your Commander's Lifelink (and fwiw unlike most decks that just throw that in you are VERY able to burn people to actually win on the spot).
I think if you want to use Manabarbs maybe you should look at more Artifact type ramp that won't trigger it? There are some easy ones like Rakdos Signet, Talisman of Indulgence that can even give you coloured mana, and some like Worn Powerstone and Thran Dynamo that can help keep your Commander on the table. Also, maybe I'm missing a ton of them, but IMHO you should have more artifacts if you want to use a Mox Opal.
Some other random goodies you might like: Maddening Hex (this would be HILARIOUS with some doublers), Chandra's Ignition (if you target something with lifelink remember it's the CREATURE doing the damage, so you can gain a TON of life off of this if the board is fairly full, and it's great with a Deathtouch source like Gift of Doom), Fire Covenant (one of the best burn spells ever), and MAYBE a Rionya, Fire Dancer since you've got all those Sorceries.
YMMV but I love having some small card draw effects in a deck like this, maybe Night's Whisper, Winds of Change, Humble Defector, and/or Phyrexian Arena? I feel like Sign in Blood's BB might be awkward.
It's not exactly 'lightning from your fingers', but Brash Taunter is one of the funniest creatures in Magic, just having the little guy out can make you much harder to attack into, and before your turn if you didn't need to remove/burn something you can use mana you're holding up to pick a fight with the biggest creature on board. It's nutso with all your damage doublers IMHO. One of my favorite interactions in all of Magic is how good Scavenged Brawler is with Taunter, it's the kind of thing you won't pull off often, but if people aren't running enough Swords to Plowshares family effects it's amazing.

If you have payoffs for life loss/life gain maybe Axis of Mortality will play well? I will admit it's a fairly derpy card in some ways, but the ability to steal the highest life total, or give the Archenemy the lowest life total is very strong in practice, and it can create really big swings for something like Exquisite Blood or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to generate even more value from.

Maybe Rite of the Raging Storm? Rite plays very well with Exquisite Blood and Berserkers' Onslaught, as well as Dauthi Embrace (fwiw Rite and Revel in Riches are almost a combo). There and Back Again is an interesting option, especially since your Commander can kill Smaug if you want the mana. Captive Audience is an old favorite of mine, though the tokens can backfire I guess. Since you're probably not on any combos maybe Protection Racket? Liliana's Contract can draw some cards without a huge drawback. There is also Infernal Tribute, which can draw cards and can get rid of Enchantments you want gone.
Oooh, just had an evil thought, what if you used Descent into Avernus? It'll help keep your Commander on the field while ensuring the maximum number of triggers for him, all while paring away life from each player!

another great Exquisite Blood combo would be to pair it with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose.

I've been looking at lowering my mana curve lately, some power cards are absolutely worth the cost, but I've never been in a situation where I needed and could pay for Ruinous Ultimatum for example, so I swapped in Toxic Deluge. Ripper is a monster and Citadel wins games. I'm still testing New Blood but I'm more focused on consistency even as I shift more to an aristocrats combo build. As great as it is, a 2-color Boros enchant that you can't really ramp into any sooner than turn 2-3 feels a little clunky. I'm experimenting now with The Meathook Massacre and have been pleasantly surprised. Also many of my recent wins have been due to the combo of Vito or Sanguine Bond + Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood. With a perfect hand, I had one game where I ramped out an instant win combo on turn 3.

What kind of combo are you looking for?
Lock combos (something like Teferi's Puzzle Box + Notion Thief or Arcane Laboratory + Knowledge Pool) are pretty close to Stax and tend to lead to saltiness, but are as control-combo as you can get.
Instant win combos (Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank or Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, for example) end the game fast, but need to be supported a little more, especially if the pieces don't do much by themselves.
"Open-ended" non-infinite combos (Rona, Tolarian Obliterator Flip + Pestilence + Body of Knowledge) are the least salt-inducing, as long as you can finish them in a reasonable time, but they might not close out the game.
