Landfall in Naya is such an interesting concept. I had been wanting to try it out since Felidar Retreat was spoiled but I wasn't sold on Omnath as a Landfall commander. It was too... obvious. And I really didn't like Obuun. So I looked at the commanders and the one that spoke to me the most was Marath, Will of the Wild. So I thought, let's give it a try!

What emerged is a REALLY weird deck. Landfall? Yes. +1/+1 counters? Definitely. Aristocrats? Kiiiinda.

Interactions include: Basri's Lieutenant + Cathars' Crusade + a sac outlet (included are Goblin Bombardment, Greater Good, and Fanatical Devotion.) Basically with all the +1/+1 counters flying around, as long as the two main pieces are in play, if you sac a token creature with a +1/+1 token on it, Basri's Lieutenant will plop a 2/2 in play. A creature entering the battlefield will trigger the Crusade, putting a +1/+1 counter on each of your creatures. Sac the 2/2 to trigger this over again. This is an infinite combo that will inevitably lead to Marath being able to nail someone for lethal pinging damage.

This also works with Grumgully, the Generous instead of the Crusade. But it will play a bit differently. Since the effect on Grumgully is localized to just the creature that entered the battlefield, to do this you'll also need The Ozolith in play as a place to store the tokens. Then simply move the infinite +1/+1 counters at the beginning of combat to Marath and proceed.

Felidar Retreat, Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Lotus Cobra. Since creatures are now also Forests, Landfall on Retreat triggers creating a cat token. This token triggers both Retreat and the Cobra, so boom. Infinite tokens and mana. * SADLY THIS DOESN'T WORK * Read your cards, folks. I would love a way to crack into a combo like this, though.
