Nahiri is a uniquely powerful and straightforward new commander for equipment decks. It remains unclear whether in can compete with Syr Gwyn but she certainly deserves a try. Nahiri expects to be played much earlier, generally on turns 3-4. Losing black means losing access to most card draw and tutor effects. Also Nahiri doesn't solve equipment costs on her own. While Nahiri doesn't need to run mediocre Knights, she needs all the avaiable 1 and 2 cmc living weapons, as well as 0 and 1 cost equipments. Finally, unlike Gwyn, Nahiri doesn't refill your hand and therefore leaves you more vulnerable to board sweeps. All together, this necessitates a much more all-in agressive approach.
