Maybeboard

This is a further edit based off of my Boros Humans list.

Green is added for access to Mana Dorks, CoCo as well as Burning-Tree Emissary combos: Basically, all of your drops, and any drop that does not use mana can be chained from your hand with Burning-Tree Emissary. This can be compounded in any number of ways. Either to set up an Anthem pre-Thalia's Lieutenant, enable a quick growth on a Champion of the Parish, or to get added value off of Metallic Mimic. Burning-Tree Emissary fills the spot of Gather the Townsfolk in previous builds, with a stockier body.

I have recently decided to cut Metallic Mimic, Hero of Bladehold, and Alesha, Who Smiles at Death.

I want to preface what I intend to say with I love these three cards, because if they get on the field and stick, they can win you the game on their own. The problem with them, is that they are easily recognizable threats, they don't tend to stick, and they don't do anything on their own.

I am removing them for an additional Mayor  , and 3-of-each Knight of the Reliquary and Tireless Tracker.

Tracker gives you a way to refuel after a wipe or some tough trades, and is resilient against removal if you play her triggers properly. Similarly, Knight is coming in due its resilience, and its progressive power curve. These two cards play off each other well, and are able to be hit by CoCo.

CoCo is CoCo. It does CoCo things. Ideally, you should establish an early board and play this on your opponent's end step, after they have used their resources, but it never does a bad thing, 'cept get countered.

Lightning Bolt is back. Shadow is no longer a prevalent threat, thanks to leaner curves that abuse Bloodbraid Waifu

In short, this deck either wins or loses on how well you can play off of the triggers from Champion of the Parish, Burning-Tree Emissary, and Thalia's Lieutenant.

  1. Heroic Intervention is in against board wipes. They can't normally play two of those in a turn. So you need to play slower, but is a bargain, when considering playing against Supreme Verdict
  2. Destructive Revelry comes in against decks with troublesome Enchantments or Artifacts. Ghostly Prison based decks and Affinity come to mind, as it keeps you on pace with them. Natural State is a good fit for this slot as well.
  3. Grand Abolisher, the Big G comes in against your control matchups, and against taxes, and, ironically, 5C humans to prevent Vial abuse. Big G says your turn is your turn. This is a flex slot, so it is entirely your preference on what goes here. Usually pull Burning-Tree Emissary for him, depending on matchup.
  4. Leyline of Sanctity is good against hand disruption and burn. Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Thought-Knot Seer. Pulls are matchup dependent.
  5. Mirran Crusader is good against (no kidding). Pull Burning-Tree Emissary, generally, unless Path to Exile is worse for the matchup, as they have an antisynergy. Lots of in the format, means Crusader can really shine.
  6. Rest in Peace is your graveyard hate. Good against most graveyard tech. Snapcaster Mage, Delve, Tarmogoyf, Dredge.
  7. Sigarda, Heron's Grace is a flex slot. Lord effect for your board against removal. She must be answered before they go face with spells, or try to control your board.
  8. Stony Silence = Fck Affinity. The deck is so consistent, it garners it's own sideboard hate.

Prismatic Omen Is worth noting in here, because of the prevalence of Blood Moon Strategies. It doesn't matter if all of your lands are Mountains, if they're also everything else. It was a hard choice for me, but I have Destructive Revelry to deal with Moon, because you don't get more value than chaining out a couple of Emissaries to party so hard they blow up the whole moon. I'd take Omen over Big G if I were to cut anything.

Boseiju, Who Shelters All is also a worthwhile investment, in the slot it would take from Sigarda, Heron's Grace. Protecting your CoCo's is a big deal, but really, not that big of a deal. You usually get to resolve one or two, unless your opponent has a bone to pick over it.
