Akrasan Squire Discussion

These are the cards I dont know if follows the aggro strategy (or quick growth) on your deck: Veteran Swordsmith , Veteran Armorsmith , Topan Freeblade , Soldier of the Pantheon , Precinct Captain (sometimes you wont be able to attack for two turns. He is better when you "haste" him), Loyal Cathar  Flip (his other form escapes "human tribal", so he doesnt triggers lot of abbilities on the deck), Elite Vanguard , Archetype of Courage (cost 3 is too much, it may leave you without mana for Brave the Elements ).

Some options of cost 1: Hunted Witness , Akrasan Squire , Thraben Inspector and Ardent Recruit which would call for more artifacts and equipments. I think of him because I would use Ratchet Bomb . It is good against midrange enchantments, tokens, cretures and artifacts. And there are God-Pharaoh's Faithful and Novice Knight , they are perfect to be powered with aura and all sort of things (against red decks).

Things may help: Shelter , Danitha Capashen, Paragon , Cartouche of Solidarity , Mentor of the Meek and Felidar Umbra .

If you would escape a bit from tribal: Vryn Wingmare and Moonsilver Spear .

And there are plenty of lands that can help you draw, gives extra mana, enhance your creatures and are way under 3$. I hate to depend on luck, and I hate extra lands in hand, so I would use 20x lands, basic and non basic, plus 4x Secluded Steppe .

I think maybe these cards could be good, but i thing Horned Kavu is good with etb effects and this deck doenst have this kind of synergy and Kird Ape can enter in the place of Akrasan Squire but without akrasan squire and Qasali Pridemage i will not have excuse to play Fencing Ace hahahaha but these two cards can enter in another build with Burning-Tree Emissary or somethin like that maybe

Hrmm, I think you'll find that you'll dump your hand pretty fast, don't have a way to refill it, and top decking 1-drops won't combat the big boys your opponent will be spitting out at turn 4, so you need a way to really pump the team and swing hard before they can stabilize. But, in the nature of staying 1-drop, Bonesplitter can help. If you cartouche a guy and have a splitter on him and mostly beat down with that, something like Akrasan Squire can help pump him and stay back for a chump if needed on the back-swing. Defiant Strike can give you a teeny bump and draw you a card. Standard bearer seems bad because you'll be empty handed, so the discard to trigger his ability sounds extra painful. I'd go up to a full playset of the javelineers (because Delver.) Cloudshift could be cool to save a blocker from dying and maybe reset a javelineer or get you an extra token from card draw from thraben inspector, but might dilute the deck a bit. I see him in your maybeboard, but I'd def make room for selfless cathar. He's proven himself in the token decks.

If you find yourself getting steamrolled, you could keep the 1-drop flavor and add some soul sisters to offset the life loss.

Looks fun!

2 cents: I find running 3 colors in an exalted deck is a bad idea but i'm still trying for it. try adding 3x Ajani, Caller of the Pride gives you the option to - if placed on third turn put a token on a creature. His most important ability is giving one of your creatures double strike and flying. add 3xElspeth, Knight-Errant give you the option on turn 4 one of your creatures +3 and flying. example hand turn 1 Akrasan Squire. Turn 2- Aven Squire and attack with Akrasan Squire. Turn 3 Ajani, Caller of the Pride- put token on Aven Squire and attack for 4. Turn 4 Elspeth, Knight-Errant - attack with an 8/8 Akrasan Squire double strike flyer. or/and even throw down a Mutagenic Growth in that attack.

This is one of those decks that really wants to be mono-white. Bone splinters and Bloodsoaked Champion aren't enough alone to justify the risk of dead cards. It also frees up slots for utility lands.

Now if you were splashing for a full hand disruption package, Sin Collector and all, thats a different route. The other interesting B/W humans route is Cartel Aristocrat/Zulaport Cutthroat. If you're really feeling like building a rogue deck you can abuse Plunge into Darkness Postmortem Lunge and Dismember to turn on fateful hour.

I'd mainboard path in place of bone splinters- it really is that good. With the remaining couple of slots from bloodsoaked, its worth looking at Accorder Paladin Akrasan Squire more Banisher Priest etc Devoted Crop-Mate is playable, if not quite as abusable as Order of Whiteclay. Fiend Hunter can serve as an extra set of banisher priest, with the upside of a better blink interaction.

Children of Korlis are surprisingly ok in the sideboard, often negating burst or forcing removal. Dauntless Bodyguard fills a similar role.

Check out other budget humans lists- they're the most populous tribe, and the options available are staggering, even if they do tend towards the thalia's lutentant package.

ill get a friend of me to take a look at this deck. He plays Rafiq of the Many.

But my cuts would be cards like Akrasan Squire, Ethercaste Knight, Guardians of Akrasa. Cards with no build in evasion.

and maybe a Selfless Spirit if its okay for ur budget.

Well theres really no need for Blossoming Sands if the whole deck is white, maybe you could throw in Akrasan Squire for a turn one exalted? Looks pretty good for a start though!
