Hey everyone! I am just returning to magic after selling my collection at the end of last rotation (mostly just a bunch of standard cards), as my next hobby (Warhammer) was kind of a bust. I managed to scrouge this together out of cards from the four prereleases I played in or things I traded my prerelease rares for.

I'm looking for suggestions on what to cut or keep from this, and what to purchase to finish out the initial build. I'd like to get this off the ground running sooner so extremely expensive cards like Azusa, Lost but Seeking are a little out of my immediate range. I might spend as much as $15 a card, but probably not much more than that. With that said, I am open to long-term suggestions too!

I am told that The Gitrogg Monster has a reputation in Comp-EDH, but I am not looking to spend thousands on a pop & pizza (beer & pretzels) hobby, especially not in a single deck. My grand plan for this deck is to draw lots of cards, generate lots of land, and cast big spells. General Timmy things which is ironic because my name is actually Tim.

I haven't found a group yet, so I can't say much about my playgroup, but we have some spikey people in my local area so while I'm not gunning for CEDH I'd like my deck to have some teeth.
