Sideboard

My take on Jeskai Stoneblade. Lots of removal. Jeskai adds Bolt-Snap-Bolt, hence the preference over UW.

The deck runs a smooth balance of counters and removal spells. Prismatic Ending is one of the best removal spell in the format. Lightning Bolt provides reach and cheap removal. The counter suite includes Counterspell, Archmage's Charm and Spell Queller.

The artifact selection is fairly standard. Kaldra Compleat is my favorite toy as of late, providing indestructibility and additional combat tricks that make blocking difficult. Batterskull is an elusive beat stick with life gain. Sword of Feast and Famine lets me untap my lands to hold up counter-magic or further my board state, as well as force opponents to discard.

The creature suite is pretty standard. Playsets of Snapcaster Mage for value, Stoneforge Mystic (hence the name of the deck), Spell Queller as soft-counters and a flying body, and a few Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer for acceleration and potential card draw (information at worst case).

Teferi, Time Raveler has fantastic synergy with Spell Queller, letting you bounce and re-cast Queller while exiling opponents' cards for good. The Royal Scions is an interesting tech for combat tricks.

Ideally, T2 Stoneforge Mystic, fetch a sword. T3, play land and pass. Hold up Spell Queller. T4, play and equip sword. Smash face.

The sideboard has answers for a lot of decks. Additional counters in the form of Dovin's Veto and Mystical Dispute help us combat control decks and big-mana decks. Celestial Purge assists in the BRx matchups. Path to Exile and Supreme Verdict provide additional removal against creature heavy matchups. Rest in Peace assists in matchups where graveyards are relevant. Lightning Helix provides lifegain vs Burn and additional removal. Wear / Tear is for catch-all removal. Additional swords (Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of War and Peace) are occasionally swapped out for protection against certain colors in my meta.

An old time 2011 standard favorite is to cast Mirran Crusader and equip with swords / Angelic Destiny. Hence, the transitional SB plan. MC is my pet card. A 4/4 Mirran Crusader with protection from 4 colors is often too much for a deck to handle.

Note: You can flicker Batterskull with Stoneforge Mystic to get around removal spells.
