I have a Sludge Strider PDH deck as well and I fell for the same cards first. But I really think Drafna's Restoration and Frantic Salvage are traps. They're not really card advantage and they obstruct your draws, you don't get anything new for a few turns. It might be ok_-ish_ if you can follow it up directly with a draw spell, but again: card advantage is something different.
So I'd instantly switch those without any hesitation for real card advantage like Foresee, Treasure Cruise, Deep Analysis, or Read the Bones. Or, to stick with the theme of the deck, Tezzeret's Ambition and Artificer's Epiphany instead.

Run more Supreme Will. Its nice to have the Impulse side of it and both Essence Scatter and Negate are really strong. Instead of Tezzeret's Ambition, Opt Glimmer of Genius and Hieroglyphic Illumination are all instead speed and have a lot of extra value. I like Duress and Harsh Scrutiny as well as Lay Bare the Heart. I run Search for Azcanta Flip and it is pretty good for fixing you draws, and filling your hand late game. If you have a strong enough mana base for it splashing red would be nice for Enigma Drake as well as Harnessed Lightning and Cut / Ribbons. Your local meta may be different than mine, mine is mostly aggro with a couple control decks that tend to win. I have been using a lot of hand disruption main board and then sideboarding in a lot of counters depending on the match up.

I have recently made a Dimir Revel in Riches/Mechanized Production deck with Tezzeret, Master of Metal for a last resort. Anyways, i looked through all standard blocks to vamp up my control and draw power and i made a list of every card i am interested in and i was wondering if i could get any input.

I am 150% for gimmicks and I have wanted to make an Investigation deck for a while. However, you don't need to play bad cards just to feed your gimmick. I am talking primarily about Jace's Scrutiny, Warriors' Lesson, and some that don't fit your theme like Arborback Stomper or Rishkar's Expertise (a good card, but not well used in this deck), or Tezzeret's Ambition, trade those out for more copies of Tireless Tracker or more control, like Press for Answers or Daring Sleuth Flip. Other commanders you might consider:
I would highly recommend to reconsider your commander-picks. Garza Zol, Plague Queen as well as Thraximundar are not likely to help you get your win conditions. They are very expensive and may not even help the conundrum of this deck as well.

i would probs drop the shield. it's pretty shit other than giving you mana for some of your spells, i dunno. maybe playtest a bit
