Samut, Tyrant Smasher Discussion

Something that would raise the power of your planeswalker dramatically, make the x ability be a "scry x, draw 1."

I think that Felhide Spiritbinder deserves a closer look. There are no ways in the deck to take take advantage of his untap ability besides just attacking. I know this deck wants to make tokens, and this seems like the worst ability that does that, that deal non combat damage with effects, so perhaps something like Furnace of Rath or Dictate of the Twin Gods could be nice instead.
Stalking Vengeance seems to cost to much for the effect on a card that is easily interacted with. For the same mana cost you could run Vicious Shadows. It has the upsides of triggering on all creature deaths and being an enchantment which is harder to interact with than a creature.
Finally, Fires of Yavimaya seems like a cut to me. Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded could be an interesting choice here. It has pretty decent synergy with the decks general plan and grants haste to your bois. Samut, Tyrant Smasher seems a bit better as well.

Hey, nice budget upgrade of the precon. Good upgrade of Kiki.
Budget cards to consider adding:
- Breath of Fury: combos with Ghired + Rhino token for infinite combat steps.
- Zealous Conscripts: combos with Kiki for infinite Conscript tokens.
- Quartzwood Crasher: repeatable huge Dino tokens with trample, very good with Garruk's Uprising.
- Ogre Battledriver: repeatable haste and pump.
- Congregation at Dawn: instant creature tutor for three different creatures.
- Shared Summons: instant creature tutor for two different creatures.
- Shield of the Oversoul: enchant Ghired to give him +2/+2 flying and indestructible allowing him to freely attack each turn.
- Farseek: two drop land ramp that can search for a dual land such as Cinder Glade or Canopy Vista.
- Canopy Vista
- Exotic Orchard
- Jungle Shrine
- Naya Panorama
- Battlefield Forge
Cards to consider cutting:
- Jungle Hollow
- Blossoming Sands
- Temple of the False God
- Great Furnace
- 1x Plains
- Release the Ants
- Root Snare
- Loxodon Smiter
- Burning Anger
- Desolation Twin
- Vivien's Invocation
- Samut, Tyrant Smasher
- Magewright's Stone
Examples of some changes to consider:
Jungle Shrine > Jungle Hollow
I'm guessing you meant to type Shrine instead of Hollow since Hollow is not a legal card in Naya colors.
Quartzwood Crasher > Desolation Twin
Crasher at five mana can be repeatable Dino tokens that can be 10/10s or higher that have trample. The 10/10 Eldrazi that Twin creates is not good enough for 10 mana.
Ogre Battledriver > Samut, Tyrant Smasher
Good luck with your deck.

Anything that gives you haste is awesome. I prefer Crashing Drawbridge over Fires, but that's just me. You may also want Ugin, the Ineffable and Domri, Anarch of Bolas, as these ramp pretty well into your objective cards. Samut, Tyrant Smasher could fit as well.

Thank you so much Barbarian_Sun_Pope I decided to swap out Surrak, the Hunt Caller for Samut, Tyrant Smasher because, like you said, it gives haste like Surrak but pumps too. Then I decided to sub out End-Raze Forerunners to make room for Hidden Herbalists because it's so late on my mana curve that by the time it's relevant I've already won or the game is way too far gone for it to help much. Thank you so much for the card recs, I really appreciate it!

I like a lot of the interactions here, particularly between the Burning-Tree Emissary and Ghalta, Primal Hunger/Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig. Have you considered Hidden Herbalists to serve a similar purpose to the Emissaries? Samut, Tyrant Smasher seems like it would also be a nice fit for the deck as it pumps, gives haste, filters your deck, and still adds 2 to your devotion count. Hope this helps.
