Mirror Match
Instant
Cast Mirror Match only during the declare blockers step.
For each creature attacking you or a planeswalker you control, put a token that's a copy of that creature onto the battlefield blocking that creature. Exiles those tokens at end of combat.

FormOverFunction: Ooo, Mirror Match looks very thematic and I think it'll find a home in this deck. I'm at the point where I found too many creatures and I'm having to make cuts for the mana base
legendofa: I am committed to mono blue for this one, and even if I wanted to grab another color, it'd be white for more illusions (I think). Blue has interaction down to a T and I can use things like Throne of Eldraine or Gauntlet of Power to address ramp issues.

I’m in 100% agreement on sticking to the theme/tribal focus. The goal is “doing/having illusion things” so I agree that Minn is probably best. I only mentioned it because (a) I temporarily mixed fractals and illusions up in my head, and (b) I wasn’t sure if the addition of green was something you would be interested in. I always weigh form heavily over function (surprise) and didn’t want to block you into that, in case you wanted more win potential or something. Still super excited to see the deck! It’s expensive to cast, but I’d ask that you consider Mirror Match for the deck. It doesn’t OFFICIALLY reference illusions, so you might miss it in searches, but it’s super fun and can make some crazy things happen (depending on who’s attacking you). There are a ton of flavor fits like that out there, and I’m excited you get the chance to comb the archives!! (if you want to)

A Zirilan OG! Your list is 2 years older than mine.
Cut Guild Feud (too situational)
Cut Mirror Match (too random/not a token strategy)
Cut Pandemonium (Terror of the Peaks and Warstorm Surge do it better)
Cut Hellkite Igniter Add Moonveil Dragon
Shadowspear > Basilisk Collar

Thank you for the suggestions seshiro_of_the_orochi, I appreciate them. Mirror Match has some silly potential as like a one-sided board wipe. I haven't seen that one before, so I'll keep it on my maybe-board.
I do have a copy of Spitting Image , since I did by the Quandrix pre-con, then slotted in everything else I already had in my collection to fill it out. Spitting Image is a bit hefty on the cmc for its effect, when something like Quasiduplicate , Cackling Counterpart , or Theoretical Duplication have similar effects for half the cmc, but different restrictions. I'll keep it in consideration.

This looks pretty cool. My current version of Koma, Cosmos Serpent also tries a token approach. A card I really like there is Spitting Image .
Also, I can't help but think it has to be possible to do some nasty stuff with Mirror Match .

Fblthp the found

Need some more ways to protect Fblthp. Ghostly Flicker might do nicely, and it 'untaps' Proteus Staff for you, too. And hey, don't forget about Polymorph !
Also, stuff that allows you to steal creatures from other people seems pretty alright by me. You'll be the controller, so you still get to 'search' your library for Fblthp even if you 'sacrifice' their creature to the staff. I'm thinking Bribery , Treachery , Mind Control , In Bolas's Clutches , and Sudden Substitution . Even though you can't have creatures in your library, you can still have creatures on your board! :D
In a similar vein, I'd recommend stuff like Clone Legion , Mirage Mirror , Mirror Match , Rite of Replication , Saheeli's Artistry , Stolen Identity , Supplant Form . These let you copy creatures in play, which is (I cannot stress this enough) VERY POWERFUL with counterspell support. The ability to let only certain threats slip through the cracks means you are effectively deciding what you want to copy later. Let them have their It That Betrays for now, you can just make 5 token copies of it next turn with Rite of Replication. Clones, with counterspell support and protection, can be an alternate win condition in their own right. After all, other people planned on winning with that creature - why can't you?

Ezuri claw of progress

Suggestions:
Reclamation Sage will ETB to destroy and trigger ezuri.
Viridian Corrupter will do the same and have infect.
Deadeye Navigator will let you repeat ETB effects.
Peregrine Drake will go infinite with deadeye navigator making mana and it triggers ezuri.
Sylvan Safekeeper will help protect your important creatures.
Heroic Intervention will help protect everything.
Sage of Hours combos with ezuri for infinite turns once you have 5 experience.
Tuskguard Captain will give all your buffed creatures trample and trigger ezuri.
Negate or Swan Song are cheap ways to stop the sorceries that will wipe your board.
Replace Mirror Match with Spike Weaver since you can put counters on it.
Edric, Spymaster of Trest gets you cards and convinces opponents to hit other players.
Alchemist's Refuge let's you flash cards on other turns and it's a land.
Triumph of the Hordes would be a one shot kill card in the deck as it would give all your creatures infect and a buff.
Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is overrun on a creature.
I'd consider cutting: Arbor Collossus and Elder Druid
