Now with all of KTK released, changed a couple of cards, notably changing Gods Willing for Feat of Resistance (more counters! but yes an extra mana... see how it goes, may swap back) and put in Abzan Falconer into the side board in case flying is really necessary.

Made some pretty big changes. Nylea, God of the Hunt went out for another Polukranos, World Eater. 2 Lightning Strikes went out for 2 Chandra, Pyromaster, and 1 Elspeth, Sun's Champion went out for an Ajani Steadfast. These are tentative, of course, but I'm going to play test to see how it runs. Up for consideration are Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, Mana Confluence, and Stoke the Flames.

Not focused solely on combos anymore, as they can get blown out way too easily in Mono-Red. Instead focused on multiple paths to victory with good synergy and some disruption. Will keep this build as is for awhile and reassess in a month.

This deck has been consistently been putting me in the top 3 (of 8) at the local FnM, So a relative success. However, Ethereal armor, as well as sanguine bond & underworld connections, are rotating. I need to figure out replacements, as well as fix my SB (I only ever use the removal, and the Eidolon once).

Week 2

Had a really good week at FNM.
Round 1 - Rabble Red ate dust. Game one Darksteel Citadel ate his face until Scuttles came in and finished the job. Game 2 Ornithopter ate his face until guess what... Scuttles finished him off.
Round 2 - Played against BUG PW control style. Dude was convinced he could durdle until Kiora, the Crashing Wave started pooping tokens. Little did he know how fast this deck goes off and I got there in 2.
Round 3 - Went the hardest. Game 1 I crashed into him way to quickly and he got the mana screw. Game 2 he gave the screw to me and I got little to nothing going. Game 3 went deep and took us both to 1 life. All I needed was to top deck some sort of burn spell but I was 2 turns away. So sad.
Round 3 - Mono Green Devo... Lets just say the deck is way to good. And I never had a solid start. It hurt. A lot. Knocked me out of the running for top 8 for sure and I went home with the Banishing Light promo as a random.

Delver Out -2 Ichor Wellspring -1 Crimson Wisps In +3 Electrickery You have a bunch of removal main deck, and having the Electrickery lets you nuke Faeries on the fly, and that's a good thing. Affinity Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Ichor Wellspring In +2 Ancient Grudge +2 Fangren Marauder Artifact Removal, and More Blockers and Lifegain. MBC Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Ichor Wellspring In +2 Fangren Marauder +2 Ray of Revelation Removal for any enchantment control, and some life gain to help against Gary. Tron Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Firebolt -1 Ulamog's Crusher In +2 Fangren Marauder +2 Ancient Grudge +1 Raze Big beats, and lifegain, artifact kill, and more land kill. Delver Fiend Out -1 Ichor Wellspring -1 Crimson Wisps In +2 Circle of Protection:Red Shut them down with COP Red. They cant get you if you can just prevent the wincon. Slivers/Stompy Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Ichor Wellspring -1 Ulamog's Crusher In +2 Circle of Protection:Green +3 Electrickery Most of the threats in the deck are Green, and this shuts them down. The Electrickery can help keep threat counts low. Hexproof Out -3 Crimson Wisps -2 Ichor Wellspring -1 Ulamog's Crusher -2 Flame Slash In +2 Circle of Protection:Green +3 Electrickery +3 Ray of Revelation Most of the threats in the deck are Green, and this shuts them down. The Electrickery can help keep threat counts low. Ray of Revelation to keep them off of the most important enchantments. Goblins Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Ichor Wellspring -1 Ulamog's Crusher In +2 Circle of Protection:Red +3 Electrickery Shut down the Red Wincon, and keep the board as clear as you can. White Weenie Out -3 Crimson Wisps In +3 Electrickery Board wipe to go with all the other creature kill. Burn Out -3 Crimson Wisps -1 Ulamog's Crusher In +2 Circle of Protection:Red +2 Fangren Marauder All they have is Red so COP:Red is amazing. Lifegain will help keep them under control. Boros Kitty Out -3 Crimson Wisps in +3 Electrickery Helps keep the Goblin tokens under control. Azorious Kitty Out -3 Crimson Wisps In +3 Ray of Revelation Helps keep them off Reality Acid which can really mess your day up. MUC Out -3 Crimson Wisps In +2 Fangren Marauder +1 Raze A few more threats and a little selected land kill. Tortured E Out -3 Crimson Wisps In +3 Ray of Revelation Keep them off of Tortured E, and they are just a subpar deck full of mostly crappy creatures.

Went 2-2. I think this is the last we'll see of this pure G/W deck. Playing Abzan though so a lot of the same cards/strategy will be in play. Til next time!

-2 Sorin, Solemn Visitor -3 Deflecting Palm -2 Battlefield Forge -2 Caves of Koilos +2 Mountain +2 Swamp +3 Read the Bones +2 Utter End Sorin didn't seem like a great fit, and card advantage will definitely be needed. Swapped out some pain lands to make up for Sorin's absence.

Krenko's command isn't actually part of the deck it's just there because tapped out doesn't recognize goblin rabblemaster creates tokens so i put it in for playtest purposes
