All suggestions made for this deck will be considered. That doesn't mean they will automatically be adopted, no matter how special you think they/you are.

I see decks very differently than most people. I know what suits my play style, and my local meta.

I don't follow deck building "formulas".

Think before making a suggestion. If you are going to insist up front that it is the ONLY thing that can make this deck better, or make snide comments about my choice of cards/theme, or if you are going to be a jerk in general, then save us both the trouble and just go away.

Do some research before pointing out that my cards aren't Standard legal.
I usually know What's In Standard

Post Rotation

  • If a better Izzet land is released than Highland Lake I will use it instead.

  • I might decide to use Abrade instead of Magma Spray, depending on how many recurring Creatures are used in the new meta.

  • I have also decided to foil one of each type of Artifact in the deck, because why wouldn't you?
    I will be updating the deck as I collect them.


  • Dispel and Negate are primarily to be used to protect your Vehicles from Instants.

  • You may use them for other purposes, depending on the game state.

Early Game

Mid Game

  • You need to assess the game state to work out whether it is better to cast Foundry Inspector, so you can get Vehicles/Creatures out faster, or Chief of the Foundry, because you need to give Creatures a boost.

  • Aethersphere Harvester should be cast ASAP as it is a good early blocker, while also allowing for some life gain.

  • Calculate before attacking with Untethered Express. It should at least trade with a couple of key Creatures, if it is not able to survive an attack.

Late Game


  1. Overwhelming the Opponent with Creatures. Foundry Inspector can let you dump a whole lot on the field in one Turn. You can also recur Scrapheap Scrounger.

  2. Buffing Creatures with Chief of the Foundry.

  3. Trample damage from Untethered Express.

  4. An unblockable Skysovereign, Consul Flagship, as it slowly picks off Opponent Creatures.


Lands produce slightly more than to facilitate early plays like Inventor's Apprentice and Speedway Fanatic.

Spire of Industry colour fixes a bit, but is primarily in the deck to pay for Scrapheap Scrounger's activation cost.

Aether Hub lets Aethersphere Harvester have another to use, and can also help to colour fix.

Wandering Fumarole gives an extra Crew member, in the late game.

Disallow Counters any problematic spells, and can also prevent a Planeswalker from achieving their ultimate.

Magma Spray stops Dread Wanderer and Scrapheap Scrounger from recurring for your Opponent.

Padeem, Consul of Innovation allows for card draw in a long game, and can also help to protect Creatures and Vehicles.

Welding Sparks is an excellent destruction spell. It is not uncommon for it to do 5 or more damage. At Instant speed. Ridiculous.
