Morophon, the Ultimate Ratmaster

Once upon a time, there was a time of weakness and necessary hiding. We have always been weak, but smart and many. Because others see us as disgusting and dirty, they hunted us and drove us to the darkest corners.

Now the savior has come and has chosen us, the weak and oppressed, as his tribe. He taught us that if we are not afraid and together we can achieve everything. So strengthened, we follow our leaders and flood the land. Now it's up to us to hunt the hunters and punish them for their actions.

Stay a while and listen to how it could happen.

Marrow-Gnawer, detached rat leader

The playing style of this deck is straight and very simple. One could describe it with the motto: "go face or go home". Translated: Play rats, rats more, rats even more and go beat.

With Morophon, the Boundless we have an extremely powerful "tribal-commander", which allows us to play our Rat Colony totally for free with a bit of preparation. All we need is one of these artifacts Jet Medallion , Bontu's Monument , Fist of Suns , Cloud Key or Herald's Horn and Morophon, the Boundless . We also have a tool that borders on fraud. Secret Salvage lets us just take all Rat Colony on the hand and play all prepared accordingly.

It is our main task to find Jet Medallion , Bontu's Monument , Fist of Suns , Cloud Key or Herald's Horn .

To find the appropriate things, we have some universal as well as specialized tutors.

  1. Use Muddle the Mixture or a universal tutor to find Jet Medallion
  2. Use Perplex or a universal tutor to find Bontu's Monument , Fist of Suns , Cloud Key or Herald's Horn
  3. Use a universal tutor to find primary Secret Salvage or in descending order of priority Thrumming Stone , Door of Destinies , Bloodbond March , Vanquisher's Banner if Secret Salvage already available.

Since the deck is designed to get as fast as possible to the desired goal I have largely renounced protection.

Nevertheless, we have some nice support possibilities, which I explain below.

Marrow-Gnawer : My old rat general is still doing his job here, doubling the rats.

Bloodbond March : For Rat Colony an incredibly powerful revival option.

Concordant Crossroads : Ok haste for all but potentially a finisher for us.

Distant Melody : The more rats we have, the more cards we draw ...

Necropotence : Drawing cards for life is always good.

Rhystic Study : Super card to draw cards, especially in multiplayer rounds.

Door of Destinies : The more rats we play, the stronger they become, and many rats are well-amplified as well.

Thrumming Stone : yes yes the stones ... also potentially brings all rats to the field.

So when I saw Morophon, the Boundless I made a proxi directly and tried it out in our playgroup. My fellow players were all just as surprised and shocked as this deck can go ... I certainly had a lot of fun with it and hope so too.

If you like my story, the idea or the implementation please leave an upvote +1 there. Of course I am also open to any suggestions for improvement.
