Do you have a moment to hear the word of Orim?

Tiny Leaders Casual Mono-White Tribal

Sideboard

Orim is not that powerful general, but is truly a mother for her fellows. As any tribal deck, I'm trying to fit the theme and keep the strategy: slowly kill your opponents with a horde of priests and spirits. Anyway, feel free to suggest other strategies!

How the cards were chosen

  • Ajani's Sunstriker: The unique source of lifelink, plus has a good devotion for our nykthos-shrine-of-nyx.

  • Banisher Priest: A creature-removal with good devotion.

  • Battlefield Medic: As a creature-based deck, protect the clerics is a must and this guy do the job.

  • Beacon of Destiny: It's a bomb against burn and it's Blaze spells. With other clerics, it's almost indestructible.

  • Daru Spiritualist: Bolt-range is no longer a worry.

  • Field Surgeon: A nice way to give a way to protection to all creatures I control, including tokens. Brave the Sands makes it even better.

  • Frontline Medic: Make all creatures indestructible every turn is awesome. When it have a counter attached, must be there to keep that Bonfire of the Damned/Fireball away.

  • Hallowed Healer: Threshold is really easy to achieve, so it can prevent a lot of damage easily.

  • Mentor of the Meek: Almost every creature that EtB can give us a draw, what means a extremely card advantage.

  • Monk Realist: Just in case.

  • Orim, Samite Healer: Fits both themes, clerics and prevent damage.

  • Soltari Monk/Soltari Priest: Both are clerics and benefits from the major strategy, but also have shadow and attacks each turn if able. Also, has a good devotion.

  • Suture Priest: Dealing agains other creature-based deck can be annoying, but not with this guy. spirit-bons is very sinergistic as well.

  • Thraben Doomsayer: Good devotion, tokens and can save the day in the last minute.

  • Weathered Wayfarer: A better tutor than Expedition Map.

  • Whipgrass Entangler: It's not a trully control deck, but stop that problematic creature is always good.
  • Abzan Advantage: This was Erase spot, but I decided to try this one because of bolster.

  • Brave the Elements: Stops Pyroclasm effects.

  • Defiant Strike/Guided Strike/Swift Justice: Combat tricks.

  • Feat of Resistance/Rootborn Defenses: Protective spells with some benefits.

  • Defiant Strike: Spot removal or another protective spell.
  • Journey to Nowhere/Oblivion Ring: Deal with problematic permanents.

  • Brave the Sands: All those tap abilities claim for vigilance. Here it is.

  • Lashknife Barrier: Is incredibly good preventing damage, one of the best enchantments I find for this deck.

  • Path of Bravery: Give us life, what is good against faster decks.

  • Spirit Bonds: Flying creatures + seletive indestructible.
  • Spear of Heliod: Another pump, but the activated ability is very useful.

  • Ajani, Caller of the Pride: Everytime he enters the battlefield, I win the game. Versatile, powerful, flavorful.
  • Drifting Meadow/Secluded Steppe: Cycling lands may help in mid-late game like a draw option.

  • Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx: Mentor of the Meek and Spirit Bonds are huge resource eaters, so Nykthos helps to pay those costs each turn and even multiple times per turn.
  • Aegis of the Gods: Stops completely Burn and MBD.

  • Glowrider: Makes the life harder for control players.

  • Imposing Sovereign: Really useful again any creature-deck.

  • Intrepid Hero: Goodbye, hydras! Helps with Ezuri too.

  • Kataki, War's Wage: Stops Voltron and some variants of Mono-Blue.

  • Planar Guide/Second Sunrise: In case we find mass removals. Plus, EtB effects!

  • Shaman en-Kor: Beacon of Destiny for creatures.

  • Silence :

  • Torpor Orb: Answer to some decks in my meta.
  • About the deck's past

  • Path to Exile/Swords to Plowshares: Out of my budget.

  • Crusade /Honor of the Pure: This is a reactive deck, so I probably won't use this.
  • And finally:

As you may noticed, this is a budget version, but some cards can be replaced, like the examples below.
  • Enlightened Tutor/Idyllic Tutor: Tutors for enchantments, generally.

  • Master Apothecary replacing Field Surgeon.

  • Mikaeus, the Lunarch and Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit as commanders.

  • Godsend

  • Any help is appreciated. If you liked: +1 Upvote
