Creature (1)

I've wanted to make a bestow deck since I first ran into one of the cards with it, same with mutate, I just never ran into the right combination to do so. Now I think I found a commander that works well, a secret commander to make deckbuilding a little less chaotic, and a companion to lower that even more, that makes everything really synergistic and continuous.

The reason I'm going with both, in 3 colors, is because of two reasons. First, there's only collectively like 20 worthwhile bestow and mutate cards in bant. Second, a mutate stack becomes worthless when someone just target removes it, and if you only have one creature then you can't continue mutating and try to rebuild. Bestow not only works well because it makes the creature bigger, but it also replaces the creature when it's removed. Unfortunately a mutate stack is weaker on an enchantment or artifact creature because it basically doubles the removal available to use on it, that's why Storvald is a pretty perfect commander to make it that much harder to target those creatures.

The secret commander is Volo, so whenever I cast a mutate creature for it's mutate cost, I get another copy of it that prevents me from having my entire field dedicated to one stack. Unfortunately on the stack when I cast a bestow creature for it's alternate cost, it's considered an aura so Volo doesn't copy those. I'll probably end up stacking pretty heavily on storvald and winning through commander damage in most cases, but Volo allows me to go a bit wider than most voltron style decks can get away with, besides some enchantments and equipments that generate a lot of tokens.

Besides the main premise I plan to have a lot of good targets that either cost less to be targeted or protect themselves, along with some of the heroic cards from the original theros block, who get out of hand pretty fast if not dealt with.
