I'd start by looking at these creatures: Archon of Valor's Reach, Celestial Ancient, Daxos of Meletis, Elderwood Scion, Emeria Shepherd, Hydra Omnivore, Loyal Drake, Loyal Guardian, Nylea's Colossus.

Then I'd look at your auras, you probably don't need a ton to get a lot of value from your commander: Empyrial Storm, Phyrexian Rebirth, Angelic Chorus, Epic Proportions, Ground Seal, Myth Unbound, Octopus Umbra, Spawning Grounds, Vow of Flight.

Hey thanks for the name-drop, discipleofgary73!

Looks like a fun build so far, wyatt0781! I also think you should consider Krond the Dawn-Clad as a possible replacement for Dragonlord Dromoka, but watch out for that prohibitive cost!

I built a prototype Krond the Dawn-Clad budget deck, Krond the Junior Chipmunk (Concept), if you want to check it out. Some of the enchantment/aura tribal cards I put in there that I haven't seen mentioned yet are Ethereal Armor, Flickerform, Sage's Reverie, Sigarda's Aid, Aura Gnarlid, Auramancer, Dreampod Druid, Eidolon of Countless Battles, Elderwood Scion, Endless Wurm, Heliod's Pilgrim, Hero of Iroas, Kitsune Mystic, Monk Idealist, Nomad Mythmaker, Silent Sentinel, Sram, Senior Edificer, Tragic Poet, Umbra Mystic, Dawn to Dusk, Open the Armory, Retether, Reviving Melody, Three Dreams, Winds of Rath, Crown of the Ages, Crystal Chimes, Helm of the Gods.

I really like cards that are tied both to offense and defense, such as vigilance and life link. I tend to choose cards that can both be used to protect, and enable my creatures. I have a list of cards that look really appealing, some of which I already own. Are there are any potential decks here? I'm willing to drop some cash on cards, but anything over $20 per copy is out of the question.

Angelic Destiny: Normally I wouldn't rely on fat enchantments, but this one persists.

Batterskull: Normally high cost equipment doesn't doing anything when played, but this one can fight.

Bear Umbra: Pays for itself the turn you play it. Usually a 3 or 4 drop needs to have massive board power, but this one simply undoes its own cost instead.

Behemoth Sledge Them some sweet stats. Bit pricey though, but equipment persist.

Dungrove Elder Always strong and annoying to remove.

Elderwood Scion Nice flavor... that's all.

Emerge Unscathed Protection is a highly versatile effect, and rebound is icing on the cake.

Meglonoth Aw man, this is just too cool. Why's it so hard to drop him early? Hi does damage no matter whether his attacking or defending and he never has to stop doing either so long as you buff him up real good.

Nissa, Worldwaker This card basically says: On turn 5 pay 1 to play it, then have 4 more mana every turn from then on.

Rancor Powerful, reliable, persistent

Ready / Willing Offense? Defense? Both?

Selesnya Charm Oh wow, this does a lot. Pump, removes anything bigger than your guys, or drops a blocker. Hot damn.

Spirit Loop Never not life link.

Sun Titan Three drops can be incredibly strong, and he brings one or more back? Sign me up.

Valorous Stance Versatile card that can save your creature or remove another. Do like.

Vines of Vastwood WOW this card is verastile. Defend your guys, buff them, or even deny an enemy targeting his OWN CREATURE. Now that's just crazy.
