Main strategy

  1. Get a Gollum cosplay, you will need it.

  2. Get Thada Adel, Acquisitor on the field ASAP.

  3. Make her get through by hitting either the unlucky blue player or with the help of Spreading Seas, Quicksilver Fountain, etc.. Funny collateral effect: punishisng the hybris of playing WAY TOO MANY COLOURS (>2) by screwing other people's manabase.

  4. Get as many cheap mana rocks as possible from their library. Please get ALL the Sol Rings if you can. Verbal violence on Reddit is allowed against the ones who stand for a Sol Ring ban if you play this deck, they want to take it to Mordor. Riot if they ban it (they won't).

  5. CONGRATULATIONS! You just ramped in mono-blue, achievement unlocked.

  6. Lots of mana --> big blue beefy boys. If you don't have them in your hand identify the player hiding things like Blightsteel Colossus or Hellkite Dragon in their library and take them, you deserve them, they're yours.

Collateral coolness

With Artifacts (a lot, you should end up with a serious treasure, but in particular):

  • Antiquities of War's chapter three is the best way to weaponize the little treasures you get from your "friends", and can easily take a player off with the right timing (e.g. after a Whelming Wave. The other two chapters are ok too
  • Arcum Daggson is incredibly efficient here, and opens to a turn 5 Inkwell Leviathan

With Thada:

  • Notorious Throng as she's a Rogue
  • Merfolk Sovereign to hit even that weird guy that doesn't play Islands (wtf dude are you serious lmao just add blue)
  • Loxodon Warhammer and expecially other people's expansive artifacts (nice $20 swords you have there, Benjamin) can turn the strategy from Ramp to Voltron as necessity reclaims it. Remember that it isn't easy to get rid of enchantments attached to lands, so Thada is often inherently unblockable.

Budget considerations

As always, I wanted to keep the deck under 150$ (Card Kingdom), and seems like I still have room for few tiny upgrades, but I don't want to waste it on "too-linear" upgrades like Minamo, School at Water's Edge or Sea Gate Restoration  . Something more in-theme with the strategy and flavour is better apreciated.

I think that the most expansive cards I included, Memnarch and Caged Sun, are perfect for the deck and I'm not looking forward to substitute these two in paricular. Also, I love the Memnarch, don't touch my Memnarch. For what concerns the rest of the cards, I'd like to hear some cost-efficient tip.

Cool NOMBOS that make Gollum irritated

Overall, I like this concept I came up with. Nonetheless I think sssserious improvements are possssible, I am fully open to ssssuggestions.
