Pass around a giant commander to get brutal commander damage. Basically a stronger but slower Slicer in Pauper EDH. It's gross. He needs to die a brutal death like he does canonically in the game.

For pauper, forgo all those slow convoluted combos for bloodthirsty combat. All this deck does is ramp, do combat damage tricks, recover. It was a fun deck building challenge. It does die to all those creature conversion enchantments common in Pauper EDH though like Witness Protection. But I'm used to playing with and against draw the out commanders like Slicer.

I note in my comparisons to Slicers that Slicer wants more speed, Alexios wants more recovery. For this reason, I kind of want this deck to just run more lands. You need 4 lands out minimum to function. I'm never upset to draw a land with this deck.

I bit the bullet and built this after a budget deck challenge from a friend and finding I had most of the cards in my bulk. This was built off the basis of a budget slicer deck and a competitive dargo / jeska deck

While on the topic of Alexios, I just wanted to scream into the void that I wish Ubisoft never milked the game by pumping out so many mediocre Assassin's creed titles. 2018 Assassin's Creed Odyssey felt more like an offshoot of Assassin's Creed rather than a main entry. Assassin's Creed's signature parkour is nerfed, bosses were boring, characters are bland, and the game adopts a new RPG system. The landscapes were beautiful, but the story was also tainted with its Assassin's Creed Tie-In and ensuing incoherence because of it. I'm always frustrated Kassandra kills Alexios in the canonical ending. (where she says No one will save you brother...)
