poulak I'm glad you like the concept. I'm sorry to say I never did get around to actually playing the deck, it was an idea I ways playing around with as a break from infect, but ended up going with LD instead.

Everything has pretty low toughness, and this was before things like Orcish Bowmasters, so I'm not sure how well it will fare. Maybe some instant speed protection spells, like Blossoming Defense of Tamiyo's Safekeeping in the sideboard for matches with a lot of targeted removal. Possibly moving Damnation to the sideboard, and adding in more removal for yourself in the main, or some draw/discard like Demand Answers

Reynan, both very good suggestions.

Hear me out on Distemper of the Blood: it is low cost madness that can be activated at instant speed with Lightning Axe, Demand Answers, or a sacrificed Bomat Courier. While the haste and the extra damage fits aggro a lot better, I like the flavor of this instant speed interaction/discard synergy. There is a line of play where you can blow out a blocker with a lightning axe, sacrificing for madness a distemper, so trample negates the block effect. Nice for keeping the courier pressing forward for card draw.

Still, your suggestions might make the deck a pinch more competitive, and I think you should play around with the build let me know if you like it better.

I love playing this commander. I also have a mono-red deck with ganax at the helm.

Swashbuckler Extraordinaire is worth considering, I have ended games with this common card no one notices

I think that would be a reasonable swap. Another spot you could look at is Demand Answers. Right now you dont have any artifacts youre thrilled to sacrifice(like an Ichor Wellspring) so its usually going to be cast by discarding a card in which case Grab the Prize is strictly better. Additionally, then you could consider cutting the Drossforge Bridges the deck runs as your tap land count is already pretty high with the deserts. But if you feel like you are casting Demand Answers using the sacrifice an artifact mode on a blood token or bridge enough and like that then as you said Vampire's Kiss would be a super reasonable swap.

Also total tangent but with the new spiderman set theres another interesting option for this deck in Swarm, Being of Bees. While I think kitchen imp is definitely better, a couple copies of swarm could be interesting as your 5th and 6th copy of Kitchen Imp.

I'm the same way every 3 months when I look over all my lists. I somehow justified running 2 Saheeli, Sublime Artificer instead of Cori-Steel Cutters 3 and 4 in a mono red spellslinger deck. Younger me was so avant-garde... but it works so well with Demand Answers!
