Demand Answers

Instant

As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice an artifact or discard a card.

Draw two cards.

I love playing this commander. I also have a mono-red deck with ganax at the helm.

Swashbuckler Extraordinaire is worth considering, I have ended games with this common card no one notices

Demand Answers trades a treasure for two cards

Idol of Oblivion

Tome of Legends

Here’s my deck if you feel like taking a look, obviously I did not build it on budget or card rank, but there are a bunch of commons and uncommon that are very strong with the commander. hunting and brawling [Ganax]

Cheers, nice build

I think that would be a reasonable swap. Another spot you could look at is Demand Answers. Right now you dont have any artifacts youre thrilled to sacrifice(like an Ichor Wellspring) so its usually going to be cast by discarding a card in which case Grab the Prize is strictly better. Additionally, then you could consider cutting the Drossforge Bridges the deck runs as your tap land count is already pretty high with the deserts. But if you feel like you are casting Demand Answers using the sacrifice an artifact mode on a blood token or bridge enough and like that then as you said Vampire's Kiss would be a super reasonable swap.

Also total tangent but with the new spiderman set theres another interesting option for this deck in Swarm, Being of Bees. While I think kitchen imp is definitely better, a couple copies of swarm could be interesting as your 5th and 6th copy of Kitchen Imp.

I'm the same way every 3 months when I look over all my lists. I somehow justified running 2 Saheeli, Sublime Artificer instead of Cori-Steel Cutters 3 and 4 in a mono red spellslinger deck. Younger me was so avant-garde... but it works so well with Demand Answers!

I actually completely forgot about Demand Answers as well.

jonjonhholt oh dang, that seems like a solid swap over the 2 Highway Robbery currently in the list. I probably should run 4 copies, but the instant speed of Demand Answers is hard to pass up and not sure if I want to cut any Faithless Looting.

Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

Update!

Out: Tormenting Voice

In: Demand Answers

Major deduction in flavor points going from Zendikar Rising's version of Tormenting Voice with the Dragon in the artwork :( But Demand Answers is a better card.

Yeah, I can see how it's a little wobbly, there are just so many moving pieces. Check out my latest version of this brew... I tried giving you more reliable T1 plays, more artifacts, and because of that Demand Answers for more sac-payoff. It appears to play better, but less combo-y. However, it does manage to "storm off" sometimes. Tried to cap "successful playtesting" at turn 5. See how it goes for you, before re-adding blue. The thing is, even if you choose to put melody back in, the deck really wants to draw cards MORE OFTEN, rather than drawing MORE CARDS on fewer spells, melody is just so swingy imho.
