In the past I’ve always struggled building spell-slinging decks. I guess my edh preferences have always gravitated towards graveyard decks and decks running black.

However, The last two decks I’ve built have both included azorius colors. I am really loving more control-style magic.

Chun-li really drew me in, it’s not necessarily the first color pairing you think of when someone says “spell slinging” but it really does work.

Chun-Li plays similar to a Feather, the Redeemed deck, except in my opinion it is more interactive with opponents since you can abuse and keep recasting any instants, not just cards that target Chun-li. You also do not have to worry about max hand size with Chun-li since she interacts with the grave.

I built the deck to be creature-less, however I do run a lot of ways to create creature tokens. Running 52 instants really makes the deck feel more replay-able and exciting.

In addition to token cards, there are a lot of ways to pump chun-li’s power and to give her protection
