I'm not loving Gilded Lotus , Grafted Wargear , Cloudpiercer , Court of Ire , Everquill Phoenix , Kusari-Gama , or Goblin Traprunner . I feel like Jeska's Will , Gamble , Living Lightning , Mask of Memory , Chandra's Ignition , Tibalt's Trickery , and Empty the Warrens would suit you better.

I don't think you understand the deck. This isn't a generic mutate value deck, it's all-in on the combo of Vadrok and Open the Omenpaths . There's no room for cards that don't help that combo like Zagoth Mamba , Glimmerbell , or the off-color Double Major . The idea is to use creatures to mutate onto Vadrok, who then lets you recast Omenpaths, which gives you four mana to cast another mutate creature. Dreamtail Heron and Cloudpiercer let you keep drawing mutate creatures to fuel the combo. All this is explained in the deck description.

Shredded Sails and Frantic Inventory don't mutate. They're also not creatures and so can't be cast off of Open the Omenpaths .

"Or better/stronger yet is focusing on two colors with adding in just a little bit of a third color to compliment your main colors." Well, I have two main colors and just a little bit of two more. And as I said in the deck description, colors are rarely a concern as you'll almost always be casting Vadrok and Insatiable Hemophage , the only white and black cards in the deck, off of Open the Omenpaths which does a ton of mana fixing.

I'm currently toying with removing some of the mutate creatures (Cubwarden, Dreamtail Heron. Cloudpiercer) in favor of bounce-able creatures like Glitterfang that allow me to recast Vadrok for her mutate ability multiple times. Any feedback there would be helpful.

The reminder text for Mutate doesn't fully explain the requirements of a mutate spell (as seen on something like Cloudpiercer). The rules for mutate state it much more clearly. “Mutate [cost]” means “You may pay [cost] rather than pay this spell’s mana cost. If you do, it becomes a mutating creature spell and targets a on Human creature with the same owner as this spell.” (702.139a).

Since you don't own the mutating creature spell, it can't target non-Humans that you own. So, it is not a bug and is working as intended. That said, if you gain control of a non-Human your opponent owns (either through Thief of Sanity or another effect), you can mutate onto that card.
