Today is payday, so I'm ordering Tireless Tracker, Champion of Lambholt, Kyler, Sigardian Emissary, and Devout Chaplain. Tireless Tracker hurt to buy, but I don't think it's likely to come down in price anytime soon, so I think it was a good investment.

I ordered Beast Whisperer too. Poor elf is going to feel a bit out of place amidst all these humans and angels, but hopefully they'll accept him :P

Harmonize is cheap, so that was a no-brainer as well.

I've also started to think what I can cut and what I can replace.

I will cut: Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, Cathar's Call, Durable Handicraft, Lunarch Veteran  Flip

I will add: Tireless Tracker, Citadel Siege, Parallel Lives, Cathars' Crusade, Beastmaster Ascension

I'm not sure yet where I'll add some of the other cards I just ordered, but I'll have to tinker around with the deck and see where I can replace things to get the most value. I might backtrack on some of this too after next time I play it. Cards like Cathars' Crusade and Beastmaster Ascension might put a mark on me, whereas sometimes those small budget spells can fly a bit more under the radar, such as Durable Handicraft. It doesn't really have a "reputation".

You're amazing though. I feel like you should get some credit as this deck's co-author haha

All very good points.

Do you think I should look for more ways to pump my humans? I kinda think I should because it doesn't seem fast enough to pull off a small-creature aggro style win. I do have a copy of Beastmaster Ascension in my Kynaios and Tiro deck, and I have Cathars' Crusade in my vampires deck. I could check with my playgroup to see if they'd allow me to use proxies since I technically own the cards...

For that matter, I've got Parallel Lives in my Kynaois and Tiro deck too. I really don't want to disassemble that deck though because that's one of the most fun, interactive decks I own.

Also, I have some slower pump cards like Retreat to Kazandu and Citadel Siege as well as Door of Destinies in my binder.

I've gotta say it's a much better deck already, thanks to you! It durdled pretty well against the other decks in my playgroup last Saturday, but just couldn't pull off a win.

If I decide to pump, I'll also have to see what I can cut.

I ran infinite turns in Bant Modern with Sage of Hours, Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and Citadel Siege.

It was casual-Modern; The kind you played at a Steak & Shake or iHop after work. Very fun deck for what it was, though.

Hi m8,

Nice deck. I think there are some nice ways to make it faster. Not sure what your budget is, but here's my two cents:

  • Fellwar Stone/Boros Signet (in exchange for Dragonlord's Servant; I think another rock is more useful to you since it will help you to cast other spells besides making the casting of Velomachus cheaper.
  • Esper Sentinel (in exchange for: not sure): not exactly a cheap card, but this guy either slows down opponents (through tax) or accelerates you (by allowing you to draw); their choice.
  • Monologue Tax (in exchange for: Citadel Siege, which only really becomes useful when your commander hits the field): also pretty expensive, but daaaamnn, this thing really generates mana.
  • Treasure Nabber (in exchange for: not sure): steal someone else's mana rocks to cast Velomachus faster.

Hope this helped.

KayneMarco those are all awesome options thank you! for my current changes im only waiting for Herd Baloth once that gets in i will have to play a few games and see what im missing or could swap out. just looking over my current decklist i feel like a good option would be Custodi Soulbinders for Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician

maybe swap Citadel Siege for Branching Evolution

Basically, Isochron Scepter lets you choose a spell, and then cast that spell every turn. If the spell you choose is Silence , then you can cast Silence every time your opponent starts their turn. This prevents them from ever casting a spell, so they're stuck with whatever they already have out. Does that make sense?

Since you don't own Grand Abolisher , take it out. That frees up about $30 to spread around and improve your other cards. You could get an extra copy of Narset Transcendent and two more Path to Exile s and still have $8-10 left over if you drop Grand Abolisher , Citadel Siege , and one of the Valorous Stance s. It's almost always better to have multiple copies of your best cards, to make it more likely you draw them.

Nice to see another Breena player. I think you could stand to bring your creature count down to make room for more utility cards, namely draw and removal. Slow cards that require you to tap or pay good chunks of mana for their effects, or inefficient cards that only benefit themselves, one other creature, or are dependent on your opponent doing something, should be the first to go. Cards that have to wait a whole cycle of turns to do anything (i.e "At the beginning of your upkeep" cards) also aren't that great imo.

Bellowing Aegisaur Blightbeetle Bold Plagiarist Dark Impostor sus Fain, the Broker High Sentinels of Arashin Luminarch Aspirant Star Pupil Yahenni, Undying Partisan Utter End Vanishing Verse Citadel Siege Gleam of Authority

I'd consider these to be the worst cards in your deck and easily replaceable for some utility or cards that directly feed into your strategy, which is going wide with tokens and being able to place counters on all of them at once. If a creature only does benefit itself, it should have some kind of pay off for leaving the field since a card like that is likely to get removed once it gets big enough. Bloodtracker is a good example of this, as is Myriad Construct .

Already made some changesDemMeowsephs

  1. Some Creatures changes I end up adding: Yawgmoth, Thran Physician , Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit , Elenda, the Dusk Rose and Luminarch Aspirant . Also changed Citadel Siege for Felidar Retreat as it can give me tokens to sac and more counters not just 2

  2. Cut Mind's Eye , Black Sun's Zenith , Blot Out the Sky , Infernal Offering , Secret Rendezvous and Debtors' Knell

  3. More added: Sword of Truth and Justice , Sign in Blood , Beacon of Unrest , Command the Dreadhorde , Ambition's Cost and Victimize

  4. Doubts with: Custodi Soulbinders as it can give me a lot of tokens but I have to be set up already with my tokens or wait for oponents to set up their own table. I think I can swap it for something more usefull. Scheming Symmetry maybe I can get Profane Tutor until I have a more solid tutor.

Maybe quit some lands for other cards as: Phyrexian Altar The Ozolith Coat of Arms
