This deck works by casting my Commander: Diaochan, Artful Beauty. She can be tapped to destroy a creature of my choice and a creature of my opponent's choice. However, my deck contains no creatures, so they will be forced to lose two creatures per turn off of Diaochan's ability.

Of course, the deck does have one creature: Diaochan herself. To prevent my opponent from destroying her, I have a handful of cards in this deck to give her Shroud, Protection from red, or Indestructible, which will protect her from her own ability.

So, how does the deck operate without creatures? Simple. In addition to having a lot of red burn spells, there actually ARE creatures in the deck. Several of the cards chosen have the ability "Cardname becomes a X/X creature until end of turn", so I can use those to attack or block. I just have to make sure that they aren't creatures at the time that I use Diaochan's ability (unless I can give them Shroud/Protection/Indestructible).
