Primer

Your goal, as the ultimate Pokémon breeder, is to produce as many Egg creatures as possible. While Atla Palani, Nest Tender is capable of doing this herself, there are a few methods we will employ to ensure that we get the most out of our eggs:

Here at the Breeding Center, there is a strong focus on inclusiveness. We believe that the more our children are like other children, the easier it becomes to exploit them... err... I mean, benefit from their aptitudes.

To ensure this, there are several subcategories of creature types that synergize within the deck. Maskwood Nexus and Mirror Entity greatly improve the synergies, but there are several Changeling creatures scattered through the deck which allow for more consistent supplementary bonuses.

  • Magda, Brazen Outlaw generates treasure tokens anytime a Dwarf (or Changeling) becomes tapped. For the low cost of five treasures, she is able to tutor for Maskwood Nexus or any Changelings (which count as Dragons). Cards like Birchlore Rangers and Heritage Druid both allow Changelings to be tapped, even while suffering from summoning sickness, fulfilling the production of both mana and treasure tokens.

There is a subset of Sliver creatures in the deck, which are incredibly adept at sharing their abilities with each other (not to mention, with Changelings):

Some alternative tribal synergies include:

With a strong focus on forcing Eggs to hatch, there is a need to ensure that we are being as efficient as possible. It is our responsibility to reduce the waste we produce, reuse materials when and were we can, and recycle our newborns.

  • Wheel of Sun and Moon makes it so that any Egg that hatches ends up back in the production queue, ready to eventually hatch again!

  • Under certain conditions, when the player controls either Maskwood Nexus or Mirror Entity, it is possible for Pulmonic Sliver to expedite the previously mentioned queue; creating a situation where the hatching creature is simply placed at the very front of the production queue, ready to hatch immediately. This paradoxical 'hatching of the self' tends to muddle the age-old argument of what came first (the sliver or the egg?).

With such efficient manufacturing assembly lines, the player is able to continuously utilize their Eggs as secondary resources with converters such as Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, and Goblin Bombardment. With Cautery Sliver and Victual Sliver offering alternative utility when appropriate conditions are met.
