Sideboard

Maybeboard

An attempt to go infinite in multiple ways by around turn 4 whilst utilizing a lot of tutors to really assemble that three-piece-combo reliably.

The idea is to either have Young Wolf or Safehold Elite on the battlefield. The sacrifice outlet would be either Altar of Dementia, milling the opponent to death or having Blasting Station and doing infinte damage. Key piece is Solemnity, preventing our two sacrifice creatures to come back with the +1/+1 or -1/-1 counter and enabling the infinite combo.

A natural turn 3 win would be: Young Wolf, Altar of Dementia and by turn three Solemnity. A natural turn 4 win would be: turn 2 Safehold Elite, Blasting Station and by turn four Solemnity. Routinely having to use any kind of tutor will result in a turn 4 or 5 assembly of the combo.

Idyllic Tutor and Moon-Blessed Cleric can tutor up Solemnity and make the hand slightly more diverse due to being creature and sorcery and therefore being able to adapt to Spell Pierce or Subtelty. Ancient Stirrings can find the artifacts or even a land if necessary. The universal Profane Tutor can literally get everything, be it a land or any of the three combo pieces. Best played on turn 2 directly to have the combo ready by turn 4. I am really considering to play 4 copies of Spoils of the Vault as it's a universal tutor and I really like the unconventional style. Naming a card which you are running 4 copies of and that you do not have in hand after already having 7 starting cards, leaves you with statistically 13 damage. Aceeptable, no?

The selection of lands tries to supply utility and diversify the game plan. I could have opted for a clean 3-colour-manabase with fetches and shocks, but from practice the utility provided by Gemstone Cavern on the draw or Boseiju, Who Endures as a modern staple outweigh a classic manabase. Further using the two triomes Indatha Triome and Savai Triome suddenly Prismatic Ending becomes a legit choice and can literally get rid of any permanent seeking to disrupt the gameplan even after sideboarding.

The Sideboard is more or less a work in progress, however it seems to be a no-brainer to use Veil of Summer. I am currently considering Leyline Binding and Force of Vigor to deal with sideboarded Pithing Needle or other graveyard-hate cards. Alternatively Nine Lives or strictly better Phyrexian Unlife would be great choices for the sideboard or arguably even the maindeck.

Anyway, feel free to try the deck in Playtest-Mode or even in a real game and let me know how you performed! Feedback and suggestion is much appreciated.
