Her Royal Fluffness: Gorestorm

Sweve76: Thanks a lot for your upvote and comment. I see the problem, but Spidersilk Armor feels a little too specific for a card I can't tutor up. I've had Whiptongue Hydra in here for a while. Maybe I should put it back in. What do you think?

Dehydrated Hydras

It's been a couple of years, and the Hydra horde have matured!
Thanks for all your great suggestions while I've been away. I can see that the deck could need an overhaul with all the wonderful new cards
The following are now under consideration
- Vivien Reid: all her abilities seems useful
- Unbound Flourishing: Wait what? More doubling! Sign me up, double time.
- Traverse the Outlands: Prune deck for all lands AND put them into play? Awesomesauce!
- The Great Henge: Seems alrigt. Not sure it's worth a slot, but ramp and card draw.
- Shadowspear: Trample and some other nice stuff
- Selvala, Heart of the Wilds: Very good alternate commander. Will clearly be better than Polukranos, World Eater, but I'm not sure I can have an Elf Scout piloting a Hydra deck? Or can I? If so, I for sure need
- Umbral Mantle to go full retard on the board
- Rishkar's Expertise may be quite a good draw spell, but I hate to discard
- Nissa, Who Shakes the World: Lots of more mana. Would never +1 her, but if she comes out under Doubling Season, the -8 emblem sounds pretty sexy.
- Monstrous Onslaught: There is a hydra on the card. Nuff said
- Lifecrafter's Bestiary: Could be alright to draw some cards. But makes X one less. not sure
- Karametra's Acolyte: bonkers ramp
- Invigorating Surge: double +2 counters on a hydra. Could be fine?
- Infiltration Lens: Fixes draw for cheap! In this deck it surely beats Skullclamp
- Garruk's Uprising: Pretty good draw engine for the hydrating hydras
- Emerald Medallion: Okay is. Not sure it's good enough compared to the more expensive options
- Branching Evolution: Wait what? Yet another doubler? How are you doing?

Oh, and regarding air defense:
Bower Passage and Dense Canopy are basically two copies of the same card. Sandwurm Convergence is great defense against flying armies. Whiptongue Hydra isn't on theme, but a great card still. If you want something cheap, Arashi, the Sky Asunder is a cent card with two useful modes for your purpose. Finally, Scarecrow is old and weird and weak, but maybe you like it.

Belbe is watching you

Statue is more about slowing your opponents down then the damage effect, but yeah if the damage was on upkeep that would be much better for Belbe. I think you could cut Sandwurm Convergence. It's expensive, slow, and you don't really need it as a finisher. The anti-air effect is nice, but unless you meta is super flyer heavy (and if that is the case, let me introduce you to Whiptongue Hydra), you have enough creatures with flying to protect yourself.

Treasures are usually a lot more useful as they're essentially storable mana that count as token artifact permanents and trigger sacrifice cards.
As far as removable cards, Whiptongue Hydra really sticks out to me, as well as Deathreap Ritual and Into the Wilds.
Stardragon on Elves lovers...HELP!

For flying hate cards Hurricane/Squall Line, Spidersilk Armor/Gravity Well, Whiptongue Hydra are all great fly haters and Bower Passage makes your elves unblockable to fliers. While none of these should be thrown into your main board some should make it into side board if you really can't handle your friends flying spirits.
Card to help you:
Tyvar Kell I would add since so many elves only tap for green mana this will help you get more black mana. Plus his +1 buffs an elf (not as good as if buffed 2 or 3 but hey it still ok) and gives deathtouch till the end of turn meaning it's always a viable attacker. like Xenagos, he has a 0 ability that make a token and they are of course elves and his ult gives you hasty elves!!! (rare in non red) plus some draw power
Circle of Dreams Druid-Is Gaea's Cradle on legs
Harald Unites the Elves- Can help you cheat a elf or Tyvar into play, buffs all yours elves than can be a board wipe if attack with your massive army of elves
Priest of Titania- is Elvish Guidance on legs which itself is a Elf version of Gaea's Cradle as Kret pointed out
Other game enders are your standard Overrun, Overwhelming Stampede, Triumph of the Hordes and Craterhoof Behemoth

Thank you for your input Triton, although I think, after your suggestion, that Whiptongue Hydra might be a better cut for Mana Reflection since Gargos, Vicious Watcher does offer pumping and situational removal.
I do play Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, witch are, in my humble opinion, fun to play. To each their own :)

I would cut Elvish Mystic and add Sol Ring
For Removal maybe Desert Twister, Scour from Existence, and on theme Whiptongue Hydra
