Sorcery

Search your library for up to four creature cards with different powers and reveal them. An opponent chooses two of those cards. Shuffle the chosen cards into your library and put the rest into your hand.

Gifts Ungiven and Realms Uncharted are both instants, but Threats Undetected is a sorcery, which is very weird, as that breaks the pattern from the first two cards, so what does everyone else say about this? Why is Threats Undetected a sorcery, rather than an instant?

Also, since the first two cards search for cards with different names, why does the third member of this group search for creatures with different powers, rather than different names, as well? Even further, why are the chosen cards with Threats Undetected shuffled into their owner's library, rather than going to their owner's graveyard? What does everyone else say about this? Why does Threats Undetected deviate from the previous two cards?

Profet93 good to hear from you, nothing from the new sets has made it in. I tested Threats Undetected for a few weeks and it ended up being a dud unfortunately.

As for Pendelhaven, I've tried to steer clear of things that only buff 1 creature. With kamahl as my main source of combat tricks and hoofy and finale of Devastation as my 2 backups, I dont think its warranted. But you reminding me this existed makes me want to throw it in my tahngarth deck, so thank you for the suggestion.

This is the best I could come up with. Bring to Light is a little awkward game 1, but in games 2/3 when I can find a silver bullet of some kind, it is much better. I wish it worked with Mosswort Bridge, but we can't have everything. I ended up cutting Karn's Sylex + Chalice of the Void to make space for the "Bring to Light silver bullets" as they were my two weakest links in the sideboard.

Surprisingly, with Threats Undetected I've found myself going for:

Elvish Reclaimer
Omnath, Locus of Creation
Dryad of the Ilysian Grove
Primeval Titan

instead of Cultivator Colossus in a lot of situations, since Elvish Reclaimer almost always manafixes me into Omnath, Locus of Creation with something like Boros Garrison when I know they are going to avoid Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Primeval Titan.

Honestly, I think I am trying to accomplish too much and should pick Bring to Light or Threats Undetected to run, but I like the idea of both and they have decent enough synergy with the other cards I need to include.

I did come up with some other "options" for Bring to Light, the best of which is The Gitrog Monster, followed closely by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager  Flip (Phyrexian Obliterator + Arena or sneaky tech like Sower of Temptation being honorable mentions).

I'm a little lighter on basic Forests than I would like, so I'll probably end up cutting something to add them back in a little, as 2 is the bare minimum I am comfortable with.

I think Omnath, Locus of Creation with Threats Undetected or The Gitrog Monster with Bring to Light is the correct answer, but I'm going to keep trying to squeeze in both paths for now.

Best idea I can think of is somehow reworking the manabase to support 4/5 color and going with Omnath, Locus of Creation + Bring to Light (and maybe Golos, Tireless Pilgrim if going 5 color) alongside Threats Undetected replacing Eladamri's Call.

I've really thought about Bring to Light (probably 2 copies), but I need more payoff cards instead of just Scapeshift. Being able to slot in Threats Undetected may be what finally makes it good enough. If I go 5 color, I can also add Unmoored Ego and Culling Ritual to the side, which are both cards I really miss from previous versions. Bring to Light makes a great silver bullet tutor as well, so the deck would play similar to when I ran Glittering Wish.

I'll have to toy around with that idea in more detail, think I've talked myself into at least trying it.

Bant Roon EDH

So about every 6 months I get the urge to finally play commander... and every time I get sucked back into modern before I put the cards in my kart. A shop opened up, right down the street from my house, and the majority of players play commander. I think I'm finally gonna put something together, just so I can easily get games on work nights without having to drive another 40 minutes for modern.

I've looked at allot of different commanders but I think Roon of the Hidden Realm, will be a good fit. I tend to gravitate towards engine decks, interactive decks, and decks with high complexity levels so I won't get board. It also doesn't seem to be broken where I'll be playing archenimy (I proxied a Jhoria deck once and learned that lesson the hard way)

I've done some research and currently I'm at the above deck list. I think it has a decent mix and is fairly powerful for being so budget. I'd like to keep it around $50, and fairly fun to play against (hence the no stifle effects).

I'd like some help making the final cuts. I like Threats Undetected as a tutor, so I'm working on making packages of three for it. I've also created custom classes so that you can easily see my ratios.

Any help would be appreciated, cards that I missed, underpowered cards included, really anything! I’m assessing power through a 60 card lense, so I know ima little skewed
