Replaced Gutter Grime with Guild Feud to see how that plays out. Also looking to remove: -Ancient Ziggurat -Mycoid Shepherd -Panglacial Wurm -Shard convergence -Garruk's Pack leader -Kessig wolf run Choices are either due to the lack of mana, or just simply hasn't worked.Deck Revision
Frostblade, 12 years ago
-2x Ajani, Caller of the Pride -4x Strangleroot Geist -1x Selesnya Charm -2x Sigarda, Host of Herons (Moved to SB)
+3x Wolfir Avenger +4x Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
I also made some changes to the sideboard. Btw should I add Triumph of Ferocity (Card Draw Advantage) or Crushing Vines (Anti-Jund Control) to the sideboard and if so for what? And how about Garruk, Primal Hunter to the main-board?

missed the first round of my first fnm, but the deck went 3-0 on the last matches.

so I've realized I've been misusing Infernal Plunge and it is completely useless in this deck. so will be removing it.
Some changes

I made some changes on my deck to optimize it. I think it needs more work anyway... I need to do it more fun and different...

Went 2/2 at fnm last night and came in 8th place, pretty much all my games which I lost were really close. Round 1: BW soldiers (won in 3) Game 1 I blew him out with pumping up the wild beastmaster and swinging with everything for the win. Game 2 I got a bit mana flooded and he gots swarms of tokens before I could pump up my creatures for the win. Game 3 was a close one but I pumped up my creatures enough to secure the win. Round 2: BW Tokens (won in 2) Game 1 he got out a decent amount of tokens but my champion of lambholt and wild beastmaster pulled through for the win. Game 2 I just pumped everything up really fast and swung in for the win before he could get many tokens out. Round 3: WU Counters Control (lost in 3) Game 1 he pretty much milled me with Jace memory adept and was able to continuously counter my spells because of tamiyos ultimate and dissipate Game 2 I won by just overpowering due to the lack of creatures he had, the Strangleroot geists helped me out a lot. Game 3 I scooped once he got out tamiyos ultimate and jace architect of thought... He also had a dissipate in hand. I almost got the win early on but he flashed in a Snapcaster Mage and blocked a creature of mine which saved him. Round 4: Mono-White Humans (lost in 3) Game 1 he won because he got out tons of humans and pumped up the champion of the parish a ton but not before I dealt significant damage. Game 2 I won by miracle casting revenge of the hunted on a Strangleroot Geist and killing most of his creatures. And then I got out lots of elves, a champion of lambholt, and a wild beastmaster and swung for the win. Game 3 his champion of the parish got pumped up quickly once again and I lacked creatures to block as much as I needed to block, it's did come down to the wire when i attacked and got him down to 4 life with the wild beastmaster. At the end he still came out with the win though. Overall I felt it was a pretty successful showing, and I will definately use this deck more often at FNM.

This week went alot better!!! Went 4-1 only losing to Naya because of my own arrogance and stupidity, keeping a no land hand when i had all one cost cards that were black.......but i digress i managed to stay ahead of other red aggro decks and i played a bant exile control deck where it was just o-ring, fiend hunter, detention sphere and anything else that exiles that i had to face....... I went 2-0 in all of my winning matches
Much more satisfied how this deck is going, Olivia was actually slowing this down so she made for sideboard. I was thinking of adding Stonewright but then i think the deck would have to go pure red to make it the most effective........

This deck is not a good pick for my meta game. Too many people here run fast aggro with 4 Rancors. Fog Bank does not do well against trample creatures.
The Tree of Redemption was only guy that helped me live long enough to get my combos off. I went 3-2 (really 2-2 and a bye) and barely made top 8. I got mana screwed so many games...unbelievable with all the mana searching....
The Garruk Relentless Flip was a great add. The Cackling Counterpart did its job well. The new Izzet Charms were good.
But all in all, deck needs something. Maybe Hover Barrier. I need defenders I can afford to block with. A 0/2 or 0/3 doesn't live through much.
I'd add a 3rd or 4th tree too, great card. I had 2 out and cloned (via cackling) it for 3 out lol.
My losses are boiled down to mana flood, mana short (usually the case), or Rancor.

Went 3-1 at FNM tonight, playing Explosive dolls mainboard
ROUND 1 - win 2,1,0
Esper Control - Lost game 1, Double Blasphemous Act around Dissipate to Win Game 2, Blasphemous Act again for Round 3
ROUND 2 - lost 0,2,0
American Control - Lost game 1 due to tamiyo emblem and pillar of flames, game2 sideboarded wurm poop combo in hopes of a faster win, but lost to Geist of Saint Traft
ROUND 3 - win 2,0,0
Azorious Aggro - Game1 won by flipping Ludevic's Test Subject
Flip and beating him down, won game 2 by stuffy doll blocking lethal damage
ROUND 4 - win 2,0,0
Rakdos Aggro - Game 1 got burned and punched down to 5 before blasphemous act saved me, but without a stuffy doll i had to flip my test subject again for the win, Game 2 my opponent scooped before he burned me to death, but I already had 3 dolls and a staff pinging him for 4 every turn.
Overall pretty satisfied with the combo, it isn't a deck people will expect but one of the other variations will be much more suitable for aiming to win top4. Izzet Doll, Izzet Stuffy Doll, or Grixis Doll will be the best candidates.

decided to add Lightning Mauler as giving a reanimated creature haste seems like it is REALLY good. Went 3-2 with it. One of my losses I can pretty much say I kept pretty sketchy hands and should have mulliganed. The other I got outraced in game 3 by a G/W aggro.

2-1 against GU Axebane Guardian Ludevic's Test Subject Flip :: A miss play of my part gave him an easy win. ludevic's test bubject?!? Easy win
2-1 Naya Huntmaster of the Fells Flip no comments still lose the first game and easy win for the next two
2-0 American control with Stuffy Doll Chandra, the Firebrand Blasphemous Act, the guy was doing good against others because it can surprise you a copied Blasphemous Act in your face with the Stuffy Doll, but I knew the deck. So patiently control the win con...
1-2 Aggro Rakdos I knew since the start that match up was going too be rough. He literally squashed my head on the wall for the first game, Number 2 I cast Geist of Saint Traft turn 3 and Unsummon Essence Scatter is Hellrider for ground control and win with the angel out of GoST. Game 3 ... idem game 1 way too fast, and maybe bad sidding because of lack of experience,
Results : -made lots of trades after the events :) A friends was bored of is white so I was bored of my zombies; +3 Restoration Angel +2 Entreat the Angels (now 3) +1 Terminus for some stuff I wasnt playing, No real sacrifice, I add a double playset of Woodland Cemetery. BUT sacrifice one of my 2 Liliana of the Veil for a THIRD Bonfire of the Damned
Now Im on the hunt for Thundermaw Hellkite that will take place of Ajani, Caller of the Pride and Silverblade Paladin

Tournament at Samurai Comics - 57-10-11

Round 1: went up against a newer player and his b/r vampire/curse deck, went 2-0. Game one he had me at a very low health, but I stabilized and milled him out. Game 2 I had quite a bit more stability all though the game and milled him out. Post games I suggested him to join Tapped Out and to read the article "Zero to Sixty".
Round 2: Went up against a naya midrange deck, went 1-0-1. Game one I got to a Tamiyo emblem after many turns of fighting, then I just Ghost Quartered his lands until it became a Strip Mine and eliminated all his lands before playing a Memory Adept and milled him out. Game 2 I nearly hit an Architect's ultimate twice and he either bonfired him or O-ring'd him, but he ultimated after a 3rd time which got me a sigarda and tamiyo. Then I got the Tamiyo to ultimate and the game went to time, on the last turn he was down to just 1 card in his deck before we drew.
Round 3: Played against RDW, went 2-0. Game one I somehow stabilized at 1 life with a tamiyo emblem, him topdecking, and me with a Dissipate. Game 2 I gained some life to stabilize enough to mill him out.
Round 4: Intentionally drew.
Round 5: opponent wanted to play it and I was beaten down by his Bant control with mainboard trafts.
Top 8: went up against the same RDW, went 2-1. Game 1 I just barely stablized at 2 life and won with mill. Game 2 he beat me to death. Game 3 I stablized by resolving 3 Elixir of Immortality after he was out of gas. With me virtually at 17 life and having a nearly full hand he scooped.
Top 4: After choosing he wanted to play instead of draw I showed the guy who beat me round 5 that doing such a thing happens to be insane bad luck and I milled him out game 2 and 3.
Top 2: Played against a slower Bant control and lost due to counter war.

Got to play this a couple of times before our draft started.
Game 1: Played a W/G deck, but it was a mid to long-range deck. I waited until I had several creatures out then started swinging. Won by turn 10 I think it was.
At this point, the person I played figured my deck was far too strong for his, so he wouldn't go more rounds. Found another willing participant and sat down for another two rounds.
Game 2: Ah ha, a Rakdos burn deck. What I think will give me a hard time. I didn't know until we started playing what he had, and didn't sideboard anything in. It was close, but he ended up getting a couple of Vexing Devils out before I could counter them. I lost the race.
Game 3: Better, got a decent hand. Got an Elite Inquisitor out turn 2, then dropped Ethereal Armor. Rancor, and Bonds of Faith. Got a Silverblade Paladin a turn later and then started swinging. Won this one pretty easily.
Looking forward to trying this out on Sunday at a local game day. Will post an update then.

Changed Color

Changed deck from Green/Black to Green/Blue. This helped with the blocking issue and made the deck more of a threat.

Removed Borderland Ranger, Delver of Secrets Flip, and Sphinx's Revelation for Elvish Visionary, Farseek, and Acidic Slime. This allows me to synergize card draw earlier in the game while Farseek allows me to search for my shock lands and put them into play. I was wondering if you could spend the 2 life on the shock lands with Farseek to keep the land untapped when searching this way? The Acidic Slimes work well with flickering taking care of any pesky enchantments, artifacts (Door to Nothingness), and best of all destruction to their lands.

Placed third tonight. I'm not really sure what the deck needs, but I know my sideboard needs Mutilate (Geist of Saint Traft), possibly some more removal spells (Tragic Slip for falkenrath aristocrats), and possibly another Underworld Connections to help replenish my hand against counter decks.
Round 1: Got a bye. Played a red/ black zombie aggro deck casually and won 2/1.
Round 2: 2/1 Played a red/black Relentless Rats aggro deck.
Round 3: 2/1 Played a green/black/red zombie aggro deck.
Round 4: 0/2 Played a blue/white control deck. Lost to Geist of Saint Traft both times.
Round 5: 2/0 Played a green/red werewolf burn deck.
I won 4 packs and pulled an Overgrown Tomb and Abrupt Decay, which should be great trade fodder to get my boyfriend's half of our two headed giant decks together.
