YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGG!

Welp, here's my first go at a gimmick deck, and who better to lead the charge than the most red creature in all of MTG, Kamahl, Pit Fighter.

I've been wanting to use this darn guy in EDH for so long, but he didn't seem viable as a competitive commander and didn't make the cut in the 99 of my other decks. So I said to hell with it and built a fun and casual deck around him.

For your entertainment, I'll be discussing my favorite cards in the deck and how they yelled their way into it.

Kamahl, Pit Fighter

What can I say? His form is so perfect, you can almost hear his battle cry. And that's not to mention his fantastic flavor! Red is known as the most reckless and dangerous (and yelly) color and what's more dangerous than a hasty 6/1? Kamahl has such disregard for his own well being, that he'll die fighting a Storm Crow, but still has the strength to take down dragons, giants, and demons. All of this, AND HE'S LIGHTNING BOLT ON A STICK! You can't get more red than that.

Browbeat

Besides Kamahl, there isn't a more fitting card for this deck. I was heavily debating using the version that actually features Kamahl, but the one I went with just felt, well, louder. Also, the card is pay 3 to either deal 5 or draw 3. Das gud.

Smoldering Werewolf

So, Smoldering Werewolf is yelling, then it flips, and then its entire body is yelling.

Aggravate

This card basically gets all the creatures controlled by target opponent to start yelling at your already yelling creatures. Additionally, the flavor text is perfect considering the commander.

Balthor the Stout

Balthor uses his mystic yelling powers to inject testosterone into the veins of all your rowdy barbarians. And again, relevant flavor text.

Fling

Double the yelling, double the reason to run it.

Blood Feud

I've always loved the utter intensity captured by Winona Nelson in this card, and now I have another fantastic reason to run it. Not to mention you can personally make your opponents' creatures savagely kill each other. That's gold.

Deep-Slumber Titan

This card has built-in synergy with Kamahl. I couldn't help myself.

The Brute

The only commander protection I could run as far as I know, lol.

Legion Loyalist

This almost single-handedly allows Kamahl to stand a chance in combat for more than one turn, Loyalist was too valuable to turn down.

Pain Kami

Subtype should be changed to Yelling Elemental.

Granulate

"If I can't run Sol Ring, neither can you!"

Anger

Need I say more?

I hope you enjoyed (Upvote if you did!) and perhaps are inspired to make your own gimmick deck!
