Paragon of Gathering Mists

Creature — Human Wizard

Other blue creatures you control get +1/+1.

{U}, {T}: Another target blue creature you control gains flying until end of turn.

Cheers! Original message was sent prematurely, but didn't want to clutter the comment section.

Another potential avenue I was mulling over, might be to introduce some flying "humans" into the cast with similar CMC, who also provide bonuses to flying. (not certain if there are candidates to fit the bill perfectly)

Something like, Jubilant Skybonder , Paragon of Gathering Mists , or Windrider Wizard , to take advantage of the card Of One Mind , so you can have a 1-cast spell for a 2-card draw. Might sully the focus overall though, but is an interesting card.

As mentioned above, the high cmc is a concern given the amount of ramp available. Since Siani only cares about the number of creatures with flying in order to scry I would suggest going for a swarm strategy with low cmc fliers. Add some anthem effects/Lords and then your attackers fuel themselves by netting you cards. Cheap token spells could benefit you as well. Bident of Thassa can be acquired on tcg for under a dollar :p that would reeeeeally help the swarm strat. But luckily there’s Reconnaissance Mission which does the same thing for under a buck.

Possible wincons:

Day of the Dragons: perfect wincon in swarm type deck.

Tempest Djinn just gets better and better

Budget anthems: Sprite Noble Paragon of Gathering Mists Sunken City Probably others I can’t recall

Lastly, where is Crystal Ball?? :)

I would use Galerider Sliver if your using Winged Sliver same purpose just one mana less.

Paragon of Gathering Mists, Diffusion Sliver, Rattlechains, Shadow Sliver, Shifting Sliver and Kopala, Warden of Waves could help protect your commander and give additional abilities.

Heyo thanks for the helpful feedback :)

I have made a few changes regarding your suggestions,

I have cut the 3 Divination for 3 Cryptic Command and got rid of the 2 Paragon of Gathering Mists for 2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor additionally I have put 3 Echoing Truth + 4 Tormod's Crypt in the sideboard.

However I have a bit of a problem with implementing the fourth Opt + like 3 more lands to make the deck a little more consistent (allthough I am not sure if the deck needs it but it was a random thought of mine because control decks that I know of usually run 23-25 lands),anyways thank you again and further help would be very much appreciated :)

Divination seems worse than more Cryptic Commands in the majority of situations. Or, alternatively, could give Chart a Course a try! The downside is worth it, IMO. 3 for 2 is just too slow for modern.

I would probably cut Paragon of Gathering Mists altogether. It's slow and clunky, and losing a 4cmc creature to a 1cmc spell is tough for a draw-go deck. I would go up to 4 snappy-do.

Considering there's no big payoffs for big mana, either, I'd probably cut Nyxthos for two Mutavault. Lets you get Wizard's Retort online and is a nice, cheap, resilient beater. Alternatively, wedge in a couple of Walking Ballista as faux-removal.

Speaking of removal, you should grab some Vapor Snag; sb, some Echoing Truth for planeswalkers, tokens, or Ensnaring Bridge.

Grafdigger's Cage is a nonbo with Snap; you could consider Relic of Progenitus, Tormod's Crypt or Faerie Macabre as alternatives.

Lastly, this deck definitely wants Jace, the Mind Sculptor and, to support it, probably 8-10 fetchlands. Since you're playing the slow, long game, brainstorming or bouncing things is incredibly helpful.

I'd definitely go up to 4x Opt to smooth draws, too. The instant speed is always nice, since you can leave up counters.

Archetype of Imagination - Costs too much, your drakes will fly. Other creatures should be for USEFUL utility or defense.

Dragon's Eye Savants - Very weak effect. If you really like to know their hand, Telepathy does that much better (don't recommend either)

Galecaster Colossus - Has some synergy with some wizards. It costs too much, even with potential synergy. You could replace this with an expensive counterspell or just more ramp/card draw.

Graceful Adept - See Reliquary Tower, Venser's Journal and Thought Vessel for a better replacement.

Mistfire Adept - Costs too much for what it does.

Paragon of Gathering Mists - Anthem affects are ok. They are usually considered "win more", meaning, if you are winning (have an advantageous board state filled with drakes/creatures), then they will help you "win more." If someone wrathed while you were tapped out and you draw this, then it will be effectively useless. You want to limit the number of "dead" cards in EDH.

Shorecrasher Elemental - No real way to abuse it (unless I'm missing something?). Replace with a 3 CMC counterspell, draw or bounce effect.

Simic Fluxmage - You are not playing simic, don;t use this card. Very weak effect with little to no synergy

Simic Manipulator - See above

The 3 paragons in those colors might help. Paragon of Gathering Mists, Paragon of Eternal Wilds, Paragon of Fierce Defiance. They aren't great, but I'm not sure what else to offer outside of what has already been mentioned.
