Something that crossed my mind as I started playing with Tiny Leaders is that mill tends to work well in formats with small libraries. I grabbed Ambassador Laquatus and it has been working pretty well for me.

Consistent mill: Hedron Crab , Memory Erosion , and Jace's Erasure give your opponent a clock.

Burst mill: Ambassador Laquatus, Blue Sun's Zenith, Increasing Confusion , Jace's Archivist, Mind Sculpt, and Raven Guild Master are good for sinking mana to put a serious dent in the opponent's library. Meletis Charlatan makes those spells even scarier.

Creature protection: Fog Bank, Guard Gomazoa, Propaganda, Wall of Frost , and sometimes Thassa, God of the Sea keep most creatures at bay. Blustersquall , Crippling Chill , and Frost Breath tap down your opponents' creatures.

Counterspells: Cancel, Counterspell, Dissipate, Dream Fracture, and Hinder.

"Removal": Boomerang, Cyclonic Rift, and Into the Roil bounce creatures to their opponents hand or interrupt combo pieces.

Combos: Ambassador Laquatus + Training Grounds . Raven Guild Master + Thassa, God of the Sea .

Sideboard: Phyrexian Revoker and Pithing Needle are largely for second games against decks with Elixir of Immortality.
