Raven Guild Master Discussion

I was just wondering what purpose Raven Guild Master serves. Is it a mill strategy? Because when I compare this card to something like Phyrexian Digester, it seems like digester puts an opponent on a 5 turn clock to infect. To mill someone out, guild master would almost certainly take a couple turns longer. What purpose does he serve? It's a cool card that I'd like to run, it's just hard for me to justify the slot over a different card. Really liking the deck so far!

coolish card for tetsuko Raven Guild Master this card seems like a good way to counter several decks that are combo oriented around a single/couple cards the issue with tets is that she wants you to run on hit utility creatures, but she has no way to tutor for them easily. without the edric effect built in you have to rely on tutoring Bident of Thassa to get similar card advantage. i think that she could have a goodish gameplan against top decks, but wouldnt have the tools to actually close out a game. gameplan = run the couple cheap dudes with ingest Rootwater Thief and raven or other ways of deleting cards in deck to try to hit peoples combo pieces. like against if you can hit him twice you can exile riftsweeper and dakmoor or kozilek and gaeas. exiling food chains and such. i think low 3 high 4 is ideal placement.

This makes for a very mean combo that can make for a great endgame with Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir which you already have.

Hello, interesting deck!
I'd surely add some of these: Fraying Sanity
and maybe also Raven Guild Master ?

Check out my Oona deck.. it concentrates more on the aspect of Mill. There are so many creatures and spells you could be using to take advantage of mill.

Seems interesting. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the amount of high costing creatures. Jace's Phantasm is a great card for this kinda thing. One drop for what should be a 5/5 is great. I'd replace the Chancellor of the Spires its interesting but only good when its in the opening hand, even then you have a card just going to sit in your hand for 7 turns Minimum after that. The ETB trigger is alright but the fact that it only targets an opponents graveyard limits it. Grimoire Thief is also a cool card that can really hurt an opponent just find a way to make it unblockable like an Aqueous Form which also helps Raven Guild Master
