Warning! - Rant-Heavy Comments ⮧

Update_2021-02-01 - Kaldheim Update. A bunch of new Foretell spells are just PERFECT for this deck! The flavor of the day is now Esika, God of the Tree  . EVERYBODY is playing Esika and they think they're SO clever because they've loaded their decks up with every Planeswalker they have, plus every other broken card available. Then everything comes out for free, because that's what Esika does. Other Uber-Powered generals (still to be deemed as broken), Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider , Koma, Cosmos Serpent and Tergrid, God of Fright  .

KILLER FOX IS NO FUN! Killer Fox was built to WIN and stick it to the elitist players. All this deck does is kill everything on the board... SOOooo original... bleh, puke your heart out man... If you're looking for more fun, I would suggest playing the original version Clever Little Fox. However, if you're tired of these "Kill Everything, All the Time" decks, and you're going with Zirda, I would suggest going with THIS deck. It seems like there are a lot of players who are going with these kind of decks. They are no fun... And I guess this deck is also part of the problem. What's the solution??

Of course, there are probably other generals that are more powerful than ZIRDA. BUT! This deck Wins.

The name of the deck is inspired by Zirda, of course, but also having more "Kill" spells in this version. "Kill" Spells as in Destroy Spells, Exile Spells, "Deal Damage" Spells and "Lose Abilities" Spells. This deck was initially created with one goal in mind: Kill Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy . He's a broken Card that is slightly less powerful than Omnath, but Arena hasn't banned him. The reason I say this is because I compare him with my experience playing against Omnath. I could BEAT Omnath, if I had a PERFECT starting hand. It's the same situation with Kinnan.

I don't enjoy decks that: Counter Everything, or Kill Everything. It is the worst gameplay experience ever, whether you're PLAYING these decks, or playing AGAINST these decks, it's just no fun!: YOU put something on the board, I Kill it. I put something on the board, YOU kill it. REPEAT - EVERY - TURN. Bleh... Puke your heart out man. The initial reason this deck list exists was to shove a Win down Kinnan's gullet... I cannot stand being obliterated by these elitist meta decks. I hate these overpowered generals EVERYone is PLAYING! There are no more ORIGINALS!... Or maybe I'm just a sucker for taking punishment.

Small Notes:

Old Notes for Kinnan ⮧ ➔ New Notes to come in the next weeks

• Disenchant . I put Disenchant in the deck over Heliod's Intervention because it's cheaper in CMC. Yes, the Intervention will kill more Artifacts (because you're aiming for Kinnan's Mana Generating Artifacts), but I consider a match up against Kinnan a sprint, not a marathon. (Normally I'd feel bad about Killing my Opponent's Mana Rocks, but in Kinnan's case, I'm not going to lie, it feels pretty good.) If you compare Killing ONE Artifact, the Intervention is CMC 3, Disenchant is CMC 2. And for the Intervention's "Gain Life" option, all that does is delay him Trampling you. So: Not a factor.
• Drawing Cards. I left all the decent "Draw Cards" in the deck so you may TRY to keep up with Kinnan if the match goes longer. Perhaps I should replace them for other hard hitters or Kill Spells... ?
• Hard Hitters. The 4 main sources of hurt are:
  • Phoenix of Ash
  • Crawling Barrens
  • All That Glitters
  • Yidaro, Wandering Monster
  • I hesitate between putting Hard Hitters or more Kill Spells in the deck. I figure, if the deck is filled only with Kill Spells, what is your Win Condition? Zirda's Power of 3? Not really happening against Kinnan.
• Exile Spells.
  • Banishing Light . The Banishing is for anything EXCEPT when Ashaya is on the board. Don't worry, every good Kinnan deck has an Ashaya in it. Cast the Banishing BEFORE Ashaya hits the board, or on Kinnan's Mana Generating Artifacts if Ashaya has already been cast. The second instance is less effective of course.
  • Elspeth Conquers Death . The Conquers can't take care of Kinnan himself because he's CMC 2. HOWEVER, the Conquers' text does not say "NONLAND". So get rid of Ashaya if he's on the board, or whichever other monstrosity Kinnan has on the board.
