Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal
Legendary Creature — Bat God
Flying, lifelink
Whenever this attacks, each opponent discards a card. For each opponent who can't, you draw a card.
Whenever an opponent discards a land card, create a 1/1 black bat creature token with flying.
When this dies, return it to the battlefield tapped and transformed under its owner's control.

Dreadmalkin and Leech Gauntlet are both pretty mediocre. I'd recommend replacing them with more ramp (you have a lot of pricier cards here, including your commander. More 2-cost mana rocks would go a long way). I also don't think you have enough enchantments for Grim Guardian to be putting in the work.
Other suggestions would be Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal Flip (discard payoff), Hostile Investigator (Discard payoff and targeted discard), Sangromancer (Some lifegain) or Quest for the Nihil Stone (Cheap discard payoff). I do think you should be prioritizing adding more ramp first so you can get you specters out and start swinging faster.

Bookrook, Anoint with Affliction exiles instead of destroys, so I prefer that in the main.
Replacing Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor with Liliana of the Veil is a possibility, but I really like the card draw we get from Gix. That's just such a strong advantage over Lili. I may miss her -2, though, so we'll see.
Yeah, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal Flip is a good card, but I think we get more by trying to keep the mana curve a bit lower. Even in the previous build, I usually ended up holding Aclazotz in hand so I could do other things. Thus, he's not really missed, to be honest. He seemed like the easiest card to cut, at least in my style of play.

Bookrook, thanks for the upvote and suggestions! I will probably include 2x Unstoppable Slasher.
Come Back Wrong is interesting, but I think very situational. Because it is sorcery speed, it would be good for a creature with a good ETB effect, but otherwise paying that extra black mana is just a bit slow. With Gruul Prowess and several midrange decks jamming the top-played decks, I don't think there are many good targets that would consistently show up that are worth the extra cost of this sorcery-speed spell or worth having just until the end of our current turn. We'll see how the metagame shapes up in the next few weeks, though, as Come Back Wrong might be an interesting sideboard tech.
Overlord of the Hauntwoods doesn't fit very well. We're not really trying to ramp into larger threats, and we already have Sheoldred, the Apocalypse (with deathtouch!) and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal Flip at the top of the curve. I think both of those pay higher dividends in this particular type of deck than the Overlord would. In this deck, we're more about efficiency with creatures and removal than we are about trying to jam large creatures out ahead of schedule. Overlord, then, is probably not the best fit for this deck.
Thanks again for the upvote and for the suggestions!

Hi basedgubbs! If you are new to Magic the Gathering then welcome! I love that your first deck idea is based around bats and vampires as the vampires are what drew me into Magic! I don't want to throw too much at you in this comment but want to help get you on the right track so you can craft this deck how you want.
Sticking with the white and black cards making up your deck so far, I would switch out your commander with a white and black color identity (Elesh only allows for white cards to be in the deck). Some of my recommendations in no particular order are: Commissar Severina Raine, Baron Bertram Graywater, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, MacCready, Lamplight Mayor, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. I think any of these could prove useful in building lots of bats and vamps!
I would also recommend taking out 20 lands (10 Swamp and 10 Plains) and splitting those 20 slots into Instants/ sorceries/ enchantments/artifacts.
Here are just some card recommendations for generating bats and vampires: Regal Bloodlord, Lunar Convocation, Call the Bloodline, Bloodline Keeper Flip, Timothar, Baron of Bats, and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal Flip. A couple cool cards that might be fun for winning are: Mephidross Vampire Malakir Bloodwitch.
Wishing you the best on your journey with MtG and happy crafting!

Waste Not and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal Flip are probably the best ones, and Liliana's Caress and Geth's Grimoire are worth considering.
Keep in mind that if you want to ensure that your opponents keep discarding, you need to make sure they have cards to discard. That Waste Not doesn't do anything if your opponents aren't moving their hands. If you want to keep your opponents' hands empty so they can't do anything, Shrieking Affliction and The Rack are the win cons of the 8-Rack deck.
So my next questions are, do you want to punish discarding and gain tempo and resources, or do you want to enforce empty hands and play control? Commander has room for overlap, but it's common to lean toward one or the other. And how competitive do you want this to be?
