I think that the mechanic is more in line with self sacrificing copies like Delina, Wild Mage, Electroduplicate, and Molten Duplication color pie wise.

100% agree with wallisface. Imagine if you took Thassa's OracleGC, and made it an attack trigger. It would be way worse, worse than even lab man. On top of all that, even if you manage to give the ibex haste, your opponents can kill it before you go to combat.

With Barren Glory, how do you plan to get rid of your non-forest lands?

Another great deck! Personally, I think Wake Thrasher is a strong card even without infinite combos. It can easily grow to huge proportions with only a little bit of support, and is ridiculously huge late game as maybe a control deck finisher.

I like the concept, but I agree, the card as is is a little bit too powerful. I would make two key changes:

1. Knock haste off of that keyword soup or have it not trigger on etb. Twice in the same turn is too much.

2. Change the choice too the nicol bolas torment choice (i.e pay 3 life, sac a nonland permanent, or discard a card.)

I personally don’t play the vision charms, as the board wipe function makes it so you can’t commit more than 2 dandans simultaneously or else you get blown out. Memory Deluge could make some interesting decisions with forbidden alchemy. Finally, is there any reason to use diminishing returns over proxying Timetwister?

Okay, I have a guilty story that I have to share about this. I was playing pioneer against an Izzet Phoenix deck. They had an Arcane Bombardment with a Refute under it, so they could counter whatever I played. Why they were playing those cards in Izzet Phoenix, I don’t know. Anyway, they had an awoken horror and an activatibal Hall of Storm Giants (which I don’t know why they were playing either). I was at 15 life. They were at 7. I had a tapped hall on top of my other lands, clearly visible. I said “That Dismal Backwater I played earlier came in clutch], since I’m at 1.” They were briefly confused, then swung in with both the hall and the horror. I was able to win by animating my hall on my turn for the win. A “pen trick” variation , I still feel kind of bad about it today.
