Another interesting thing could be if the culling isn’t just restricted to humans, and is applied to the bottom 10% of EVERYTHING. Trees, horses, even the hounds. This could force through both green and whites “equality” theme and really feel like a villainous city where nothing is safe from shearauls wrath

I run him in my blink deck and he just is absolutely ridiculous.

Set this to a modern deck so it’s legal

Yeah. Another thought is that nobody trusts their parents neighbors and actively tries to sabotage their physical abilities. I think the dogs could be funny. “What’s that, Rover? Little Johnny can’t bench press 250? Get him!”

Seems good. The thing about the city is that it seems like 80%white 20%green. I feel like the city could use a test every month or so when the least 30% athletic or useful of the population could be culled. A breed of hound could sniff out weakness.

I like it! I still think that I would remove the amount with affliction for fells and take out the gixis for a pair of Lillianas. I have a soft spot for Aclazotz, deepest betrayal and it is a great curve topper, maybe taking out one of dread knights for a copy of it.

The more lands I have the less cards I get to flip over with grist. The whole point of the deck is to be able to flip over as many insects as possible without hitting other junk with lands. Besides, when play testing, I can usually get at least three mana by turn three on four mulligans or less.

Does anybody have any ideas or help for my grist deck. It is a pile of jank that should win I I get three lands. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/12-land-grist/

Cool deck! I feel like a few copies of traditional control spells might find a place in here, like Fell,Go for the Throat, and Memory Deluge. I would take out the Shadow of Doubt and bring in a copy of Ashiok, Dream Render, as it is continuous and serves as graveyard hate. A finisher might be nice like Hullbreaker Horror to push through your infect spells and generally wreak havoc.

I agree about the overlord. I still think that come back wrong deserves a sideboard copy. I also would replace anoint with affliction with fell.

I would definitely add at least one unstoppable slasher, and also come back wrong is a very good removal spell for midrange decks. Overlord of the hauntwoods seems like an interesting prospect too

Fun! A couple of cards I would add are: forced fruition, price of knowledge, memory jar/magus of the jar, peer into the abyss, and cerebral vortex
