Give me your best combat loving cards. Stuff like: Aurelia, the Warleader or Xenagos, God of Revels or Duelist's Heritage or Jeska, Thrice Reborn.

Obviously: Marisi, Breaker of the Coil ... go to combat with a bunch of unassuming 2/2's.... no response, cast a no-interrupt Akroma's Will

-Pretty much anything like Ohran Frostfang I consider a good combat card.

Edric, Spymaster of Trest was a great conceptual political/combat dude (he actually still is in the 99 of some political combaty decks); but the competitive path with him was just too darn tempting for many players.. He mostly just turned into an extra turns cEDH deck. I tried to actually make a political Edric deck once, but I think the cEDH-extra turns scarring made him pretty honed-in on.

Gleeock I mean . . . take out the extra turns and you can still draw hilarious amounts of cards every turn. No offense, but Edric is a kill-on-sight, mostly because it lets the controller draw 3-4 extra cards a turn pretty easily. I wouldn't let Edric stick any longer than Tymna, Korvold, Chulane . . . and that's in casual. cEDH he's probably got a Thoracle line of some form as well.

Edric, Spymaster of Trest is the best but with him as your cmdr you lose red and white. And those colors red and white seem pretty good for combat. But at least you have green and tons of card draw.

Winota, Joiner of Forces is pretty combaty. I once made a Ghired deck that was all "tapped & attacking"/anti prisons tribal... that was pretty fun with all the Ilhargs of the world & whatnot. It probably would have been a good place for Wulfgar of Icewind Dale

Maybe it doesn't explicitly mention combat, but the ethos is there.
