Like my other Ode to decks, this was designed more focus on theme and feel opposed to power level. To capture the theme for this one cards were chosen based on how well they fit with the Pokemon idea while still creating a functioning deck. This base is around creatures (trainers) who bring their own partner into play or your hand (partner with or create a token partner). It has elements of evolving with keyword abilities and +1/+1 counters, and a few "wild" Pokemon type creatures that represent some of the Pokemon from the games or just had that Pokemon feel that worked with the deck. This deck design doesn't have a lot of interaction as the decks it was designed to play against are built in a similar way. Feel free to use this a basis and adjust to your playgroup.
