I love Kamigawa block. No, it didn't almost kill Magic, Affinity almost killed Magic. Kamigawa block just couldn't stop it. It was a fun block, very thematic, and definitely ripe with Commanders. Marrow-Gnawer is one of those legendary creatures I latched onto as fun. Krenko is cool and goblins are awesome, but rats just don't get enough love. Even as a kid I liked the Nezumi and wished there were more. Now I can MAKE more of them.

What you've got here is a very straightforward token deck. Your goal is to get Marrow-Gnawer out quickly and spam the board with rats, burying your opponents in the hordes of nezumi.

Use your tutors to find what you need, usually Thousand-Year Elixir. Marrow-Gnawer is not big for five mana, so the ability to use him the turn he comes down is very important. The other card you can shoot for is Illusionist's Bracers, which copies his ability when he puts them on.

Alternatively, you can try and just swarm the board with regular rats, or go ham with Pack Rat tokens. Ratcatcher helps with that, and Ogre Slumlord lets you do more with less by giving your rats deathtouch. Anthem-like effects such as Icon of Ancestry, Obelisk of Urd, and Coat of Arms will ensure that nothing can beat your mischief (of rats).

The two flip rats are also useful in their own ways. Nezumi Graverobber   lets you clear one problem graveyard, then yank creatures from another to you under your control. Nezumi Shortfang   can combo with Nezumi Bone-Reader to clear out hands and let you ping them all to death slowly. Patron of the Nezumi also bleeds players when stuff dies.

If you get it going, aristocrats can be the way to go as well. Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat combo beautifully together with Ashnod's Altar and God-Eternal Bontu for powerful lifegain or mana.

That's basically it. Pretty straightforward. Use rats to overwhelm your opponents and just enjoy yourself. I'll be making tweaks as I notice weaknesses, so look forward to that. Hope you enjoyed!
