Gifts Ungiven Card

My take on a 4-color gifts control deck that focuses on a turn 3 Gifts. How about an early Christmas, eh?

Now this deck works a little more around the spot removal and boardwipe game rather than counterspells (think midrange here). Most of the time, games usually end on turn 4 or 5 when Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Iona gets 'Rites-ed onto the field.

The packages---: All gifts decks have a sort of "package" that you search for. Usually it's 2 or 4 cards that you wind up getting whatever you want, even after your opponent picks.

  1. Wrath of God/Supreme Verdict/Day of Judgment+Snapcaster Mage/Eternal Witness. How this one works is if you're getting overrun by robots and you need a board wipe. At their EOT, you gifts for any combination of the first, followed by any combination of the second. (ex. Wrath of God, Supreme Verdict, Snapcaster Mage). There are two possible outcomes, here. Either I get Snapcaster Mage and a boardwipe with the other in my grave ready for flashback, or I get two boardwipes with snappy in the GY.

  2. Win-con package: Search up Unburial Rites and your situational bomb of choice.

  3. Spot removal package: Works the same as boardwipe package, just pick Abrupt Decay, Maelstrom Pulse or Path to Exile instead of the wipes.

  4. The anti-tron package: Raven's Crime+Life from the Loam+ Tectonic Edge +Ghost Quarter. One of the big ways to beat tron is to keep them off their land. Ghost Quarter and Tectonic Edge both do an amazing job of this. Raven's Crime shreds their hand with Life from the Loam which also lets you use literally any of the cards your opponent has selected.

  5. The discard package: Here, you fetch Raven's Crime, Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize and Life from the Loam. After which, you proceed to go to town on their hand.

  6. The O-ring package (Shoutout to NotSoLuckyLydia on this one) consists of Oblivion Ring , Detention Sphere, Banishing Light and Eternal Witness. Use this package if you've got something scary all up in yo grill.

Game 2 post-board:After they bring in whatever G/Y hate they have, side in the appropriate finisher and 3x Garruk Relentless   in place of the Gifts Ungiven, turning into a 4-color creature control deck.

Still working on SB. Do I go Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur or Inkwell Leviathan against control? Jin dumps their hand and makes me dump extras (Synergizes), but is susceptible to removal. Inkwell Leviathan doesn't have that downside, but also doesn't DO anything. He's just a beater. But a 7/11 almost unblockable one at that...Also wondering if I -NEED- Wurmcoil Engine and Sundering Titan. I mean, I really hate zoo/tribal zoo, but shouldn't Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and the protection on Sphinx of the Steel Wind be enough?

Should it stay or shout it go? Seems clunky unless you're really desperate to copy something of theirs.
