This is a very bully/life heavy deck from what I have gathered. I am still rather new to Magic, but I feel like even though this deck was made from a random hodgepodge of cards that I would stand a chance against some casual players.

The basis is, well, staying alive. I have what I'd think to be a larger mana pool, from some cards being able to be tapped for colorless mana as a creature. To counter the extra mana I might have, I've included Cranial Archive to be able to shuffle my graveyard back into my deck, should a game last long enough to bottom deck.I have also included Chalice of Life/Death into this, as many of my cards involve gaining life or taking away from an enemy.Howl from Beyond + Mortis Dogs Casting Howl from beyond while tapping an absurd amount of land to add +X/+0 (where X is the amount of land tapped) onto Mortis Dogs would, possibly, end in Mortis Dogs being a 20+/2 card where "When Mortis Dogs is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, target player loses life equal to its power" So either you defend and kill Mortis Dogs, or don't defend and still take more damage.

Having Corrupt in my deck is very convenient for being able to deal massive damage as a reward for playing swamps. You'd think that I'd rather have more swamp than plains for this, but I feel that I need plains more so meh.

I'm having a hard time listing specific synergies as my whole deck kind of revolves around the idea of life control.
