Welcome to my first attempt at Oathbreaker, a format I've heard about aproximatelly 72 hours ago.It seems interesting and I need to test it, but for my first take on the format I will try something very casual and not very threatening (I think).

BEHOLD, HUATLI OF THE BUTT ATTACKS!

Huatli, the Sun's Heart is all about high toughness creatures hitting your opponents in the face with their booty, and perhaps gaining more life on the way to maintain your resilience. Another good aspect of this planeswalker is her rarity. At uncommon level, she doesn't attract much attention from the other decks, who might try to kill each other than pay attention to a measly uncommon with 7 loyalty counters, what might dissuade attacks even more. At least, that's my hope.

Most Notable Cards

Dragonlord Dromoka : Even tough it is not a cheap creature with low power and high toughness, it brings a lot of power to the table and turns off any responses on your turn, making your attacks more assured and viable.

God-Eternal Oketra : Not only a great token producer that can assemble an army right away, it has double strike and 6 toughness, making a possible 12 damage if her attacks connect with Huatli on the battlefield.

Belligerent Brontodon : It's always nice to have more redundancy if the table plan starts to become "Hey, we don't like dinosaur warrior lady who likes bad poetry."

Assault Formation : Same as above.

Notable Exclusions

Felidar Sovereign : It seems the deck can gain some life. Why not the wincon horned cat? Well, since each player starts the game with measly 20 life, it gets a lot more difficulty to actually get to 40 life. Not only that, it is a fast(er) format, where high life totals might be a lot more difficult to maintain and achieve.

Aetherflux Reservoir : For the same reason stated above. And since this card has such a bad reputation on commander, the mere sight of it might draw unwanted ire from the rest of the table.
