Queen's Commission Discussion

I might switch out Vampire's Zeal , with Pride of Conquerors , it pumps your creatures making them all bigger threats and if you have Sorin they will all gain lifelink, and Legion Lieutenant just pumps them even further giving all other creatures a total of +3/+3! (+2/+2 from Pride of Conquerors) then proceed to attack with everyone for a possible win. I would also switch out Queen's Commission , with Call to the Feast you get more Vampires that way.

Hope this helps!

Back in an old standard, I played some vampires using Blade of the Bloodchief and Bloodthrone Vampire to eat a bunch of saprolings, and get huge creatures.

These days, I think white is the color to make tokens. If you did, you would have access to vampire creature tokens with Call to the Feast , Elenda, the Dusk Rose , Queen's Commission and many others, also, cards like Stensia Banquet , Feast of Blood , Urge to Feed that want lots of tokens for maximum value.

What I'm saying is: Blade of the Bloodchief is a card that demands the deck be built around it, so unless you're trying to make it an Vampire Aristocrat -style deck, it should probably be cut.

Thank you very much, MontaukMonster

I plan on using my 1-drop Duskborne Skymarcher in the beginning, 2-drops Martyr of Dusk or more Duskborne Skymarchers, and saving up enough mana so that I can counterspell with Negate or especially Essence Capture which would give me time to gather more Lands and give +1/+1 to whoever needs it. Then hopefully I will be able to cast, most of all Benalish Marshal , or Radiant Destiny which would be somewhat helpful as long as I still have some Vampires on the field, or Queen's Commission or even Squire's Devotion . As long as I have some 1/1 Vampires with Lifelink, I'll be able to block enemy creatures without trample for some life and more time for Lands. The main problem I have is Mana cost, as most of my cards are 3 and 4 drops: Unbreakable Formation , Sanguine Glorifier , Benalish Marshal , Radiant Destiny , Squire's Devotion , Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle , Queen's Commission . I'll have to change my deck entirely in order to make a better Azorius Deck as those are my main White Vampire cards to choose from.

Hi :), I first started with vampires and its a load of fun. not a bad vampire deck to start, although I have a couple suggestions that I hope may be able to help out.

The first suggestion I have is a card called Radiant Destiny which is very useful if your going the full on vampire creature route. 4x Radiants would be very well what you need to help those vampires to become stronger.

My biggest concern is your mana curve, capping at 5 being the most is similar to the opposite of what vampires are kinda meant to be. Quick and deadly.

Maybe try something more like this. Hope it helps out a bit more :)

Small drops

4x Vicious Conquistador 4x Legion Lieutenant 2x-4x Dusk Legion Zealot 2x-4x Martyr of Dusk 2x Ajani's Welcome

medium drops

1x-3x Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle 2x Inspiring Cleric 3x-4x Murder 2x Sanctum Seeker 1x Twilight Prophet 1x-2x Elenda, the Dusk Rose 4x Call to the Feast 4x Radiant Destiny

Large drops

1x Champion of Dusk 2x Epicure of Blood 1x The Eldest Reborn

lands

4x Godless Shrine 4x Isolated Chapel 10x Swamp 6x Plains

(based on mana that is)

Suggestions

Midnight Reaper Radiant Destiny Elenda, the Dusk Rose Queen's Commission Vicious Conquistador Skymarcher Aspirant Unclaimed Territory

Thats about all i can think of. I don't think it completely adds up to 60 cards but slightly more but vampires do not need lots of lands because they-re generally fast but around 20-22 lands should work hopefully. 24 is best to if you can find stuff to take out extra.

I hope some of this helps out from an previous vampire player. I wish you the best of luck and hope the matches will play out well :)

I like the feel of this deck, very flavorful. I think Tormented Soul might be a good replacement for Prickly Boggart , but you might want to keep the Goblin?

Dawn of Hope seems a very nice card for this deck, considering all the life gain. Also, I think Legion's Landing  Flip is better than Call to the Feast or Queen's Commission . Hour of Reckoning is probably better for you than Wrath of God , since you can easily convoke it and you will be left with a lot of tokens.

Regarding lands, I don't think balance is the problem as much as the number. Your mana curve isn't low enough for just 20 lands, and you even run three colors! Maybe one Swamp, one Mountain, and one Fetch Land like Terramorphic Expanse ?

I think it would be a good idea to up the cards that generate vampires. Stuff like Legion's Landing  Flip, more Squire's Devotion , and Queen's Commission . If this was my deck, I would be running Esper (Blue/Black/white) as you have more options for control. Also if you just keep it Azorious, focus on the tribal aspect of these cards, since the focus is on vampires.

If you want city's blessing think about adding cards like Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle or Queen's Commission

I don't know exactly how good Queen's Commission and Call to the Feast are here; they do not do much other than make tokens, and all of your vampires already do that. Maybe run more low drop vampires in their place?

Never heard of Urge to Feed . It seems really cool. I would like to know how it performs.
