Most fun deck ever built/played?

Deck Help forum

I'm looking for a new deck idea, and I want something completely off the wall fun. I mostly play multiplayer casual, and have decks I'm happy with for that. I'm looking for something that can be played either multiplayer or one on one, but where the idea of winning/losing doesn't matter. It's easy for one on one games to get too competetive and for players to get irritated by losing. I want to keep the game fun. So, give me ideas.

The first deck i truly built was Stolen Cards.

It is cheap, fun, and it annoys my friends =)

If you're talking about fun then you can try my deck deck:people-will-stop-playing-with-me in MP games. I mainly made it to mess with everybody and everything. It has no primary win condition but maybe if you get lucky enough you can be that asshole who gets somebody else's bombs and kills others with it. :3

Tools of Facsimile is probably the most fun deck I've made. It can do so many shenanigans out of nowhere, and it includes fun cards like Birthing PodMTG Card: Birthing Pod, MirrorworksMTG Card: Mirrorworks, and Parallel LivesMTG Card: Parallel Lives!

Zandl's Ye Olde Mono-ish Green

Destroyed FNMs all last summer with this deck. There's something about turn-4 25 trample damage that gets my blood pumping.

A mildly fun card (especially for multiplayer) would be the Otherworld AtlasMTG Card: Otherworld Atlas which can just make everyone have 7 cards the whole game. I have fun with this every time I play it.

Blue/Red Artifact deck:

Otherworld AtlasMTG Card: Otherworld Atlas (newly added)

Font of MythosMTG Card: Font of Mythos

Howling MineMTG Card: Howling Mine

Temple BellMTG Card: Temple Bell

Venser's JournalMTG Card: Venser's Journal

Runed ServitorMTG Card: Runed Servitor

Call to HeelMTG Card: Call to Heel

UnsummonMTG Card: Unsummon

DisperseMTG Card: Disperse

Jace BelerenMTG Card: Jace Beleren

Runeflare TrapMTG Card: Runeflare Trap

Molten PsycheMTG Card: Molten Psyche

Just to name a few of the cards. The last two deal the killing blow. And its hilarious because you just control the crap out of them keeping their hand huge and then kill them in one or two massive blows. Don't have the full decklist on tappedout but it was a super fun casual deck I made awhile back with around 50% win ratio against other casual decks.

The key to deal alot of Molten PsycheMTG Card: Molten Psyche Damage is to make them draw extra before you cast it with Call to HeelMTG Card: Call to Heel, Temple BellMTG Card: Temple Bell etc then each of those cards drawn during your turn is essentially 2 extra damage.

There's always the suicide deck, where the aim is to knock both yourself and everyone else out of the game at the same time.

Another option would be an obscenely annoying deck built around ShahrazadMTG Card: Shahrazad and Enter the DungeonMTG Card: Enter the Dungeon and possibly Karn LiberatedMTG Card: Karn Liberated. Expensive in terms of cash, but possibly worth it when you find yourself playing three or four games for every one you start? Nah, probably not.

For multiplayer casual, there's always group hug decks (PhelddagrifMTG Card: Phelddagrif) which will make you friends, or Turbofog decks, which won't, especially with an incredibly wide deckpool.

Another that comes to mind is bears all the way - Runeclaw BearMTG Card: Runeclaw Bear, Grizzly Bear, Bear CubMTG Card: Bear Cub, Standard BearerMTG Card: Standard Bearer, BearscapeMTG Card: Bearscape etc.

Near-Death ExperienceMTG Card: Near-Death Experience with Immolating SouleaterMTG Card: Immolating Souleater and Zendy fetches was one of my favorite casual decks when Zendikar was Standard.

I like the goats idea the best so far, but make sure to include MirrorweaveMTG Card: Mirrorweave and some stuff that loves to be copied like Thistledown LiegeMTG Card: Thistledown Liege or Wilt-Leaf LiegeMTG Card: Wilt-Leaf Liege! That always promises some fun play. Your harmless board of goat tokens becomes... ENORMOUS!

My Slugs and Science deck is pretty fun to use. Nonthreatening, slow-build up, hilarious stories to tell. Swing with five 10/10 flying lands? I don't even know how that works, but it does. There was also the time I kept a game going for so long with Spike WeaverMTG Card: Spike Weaver that my opponent milled me out with a MindshriekerMTG Card: Mindshrieker. Mindshrieker.

My Favorite deck I've ever built was a casual deck built for multiplayer games geared on proliferating a Planeswalker to ultimate the turn it was dropped, My Planeswalker Choice that was the most fun and successful way to kick butt with in multiplayer was Liliana 1.0 the key cards in the deck were Prototype Portal , Necrotic Plague , Throne of Geth , Skinrender , Etched Champion , Liliana Vess , Contagion Engine , Phyrexian Metamorph , and your favorite recursion (Possibly something you can do several times like either Unburial Rites or even better something that can take any card type back to your hand/battlefield so you can get your Necrotic Plague s back). you can chose the other cards in your deck however you please, but essentially this deck is awesome because against creature based decks (Both combo critters, beefy timmy decks or any other critter threats) it creates a cycle where nobody wants to play creatures b/c your necrotic plagues just float around to the largest threats, and skinrenders just haunt anything else, meanwhile nothing happens to your Etched Champion(s) because they have pro all colors, you then Prototype Portal a Throne of Geth 3 times or have enough mana by then to drop Lili and ult her with contagion engine on the same turn so all the threats that were just kicked off the board come back under your control... It was incredibly fun and ended with fireworks for all Timmy's and Johnny's. struggled with Flying-hexproof/shrouded critters and RDW, but who plays RDW in casual multiplayer?!?! anyway, hope everyone thinks this is fun... I REALLY loved it, I'm sharing this idea because I retired the deck once I realized that ult-ing any planeswalker the turn you drop them makes your playgroup hate you if you've done it more than 2 times in a game or so... especially if it involves you winning with their combo or critters when they never got to use them. Also as a word of advice mana ramping with Everflowing Chalice in a proliferate deck is REALLY powerful!

Enjoy! :)

Love this thread.

I'll add two. Prolizzeterate and The most fun I've ever had playing Magic.

Both are fun, but the Izzet deck is still unpredictable. The Simic/4 color deck is stupefyingly agile and has at least three win conditions.

The two decks that are the most fun to play as (but the contrary to play against... hehehe...) are Mill decks, Populate decks, and Tribal decks. It's also fun to play a bunch of weak, low cost, vanilla creatures, then suddenly amp them up to be a small army fo 10/10. I also Have a lot of fun playing with my elf deck: Elf Semi-Populate, because by turn five you could get out a cost one 5/5 creature out. by turn 10 you could get out a cost 1 9/9, and if your opponent is dumb enough to play Coat of Arms , you could get a cost 1 25/25.
