Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin EDH

Commander / EDH Mono-Red

guimuave

A new Krenko deck, this time were going all out and trying to win in every way a goblin can.

the non-foil version of this deck would be about $170 which isn't budget but isn't bank breaking either.

The goal of this deck is to be fast yet still hold some resilience. Current play-testing is showing that without compition the deck very frequently wins by turn 5-7 with the occasional turn 4 win.

Game Plan: play Krenko turn 1-2, something to temporarily buff Krenko to get some goblins on the field, something to make them all big to swing.

Backup plans: play Krenko, Mob Boss if Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin keeps getting removed. Ramp back into Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin. If removal becomes a problem try to get Blood Moon in play.

Unsure/to drop:

Goblin War Strike (typically enough goblins to kill in this deck should already win, too much win more vs resilience) Sigil of Distinction (too inefficient mana wise) Burning Inquiry (personally not a fan of the random nature of digging without graveyard shenanigans) Fury of the Horde (becomes dead frequently due to number of colorless cards in the deck) Balduvian Rage (not very mana efficient even if it does refill your hand, also not foil which is lame) Ring of Valkas (takes too long to become effective) Pennon Blade (too much mana)

Potential to add:

Last Chance Effects Skullclamp Goblin Recruiter Combat Celebrant Hammer of Nazahn Darksteel Plate Champion's Helm Blood Moon Blood Sun Vandleblast Shattering Spree Blade of the Bloodchief Ancient Tomb (budget limited) Cavern of Souls (budget limited) Mox Diamond (budget limited) Chrome Mox (budget limited)
