White Lightning... Moonshine... Fast Spirits... Flying and disruption, sounds like fun! You know, except for all the dead people. The true 'espirit de corps' in this case is a more aggressive approach to playing Spirits. And now modified for Kaladesh Standard. The Bant version, Esprit de Corps, is what I use now, with Tamiyo, Field Researcher and Permeating Mass.

Other Spells:

The Human decks have shown the value of Always Watching (great with Ojutai). Essence Flux helps save and pump up the Spirits, but is also good with Reflector Mage. Declaration in Stone has been particularly helpful against CoCo decks (i.e. Sylvan Advocate, Spell Queller, and Tireless Tracker multiples).

A Few Things:

  • Bluff. Draw too many lands? Only play what you need. Have cards in hand and mana up on their turn. I've had opponents not play CoCo or Liliana because Spell Queller might be in my hand.
  • Mausoleum Wanderer is good in 2s. Attack and pump them with a flashed in Rattlechains.
  • CoCo players are pretty routine about turn 4, so wait to counter flash Spell Queller or sac Mausoleum Wanderer .
  • Rattlechains lets you flash in the Wanderer and sac it immediately. Same with the Selfless Spirit, sac it between blocking and damage.
  • Spell Queller is great and well known. Thus players will throw some of their lesser creatures under it's bus. Essence Flux can repeat the quelling another time. Some players will just activate abilites in the face of a possible Spell Queller, (i.e. Duskwatch Recruiter   or Call the Bloodline ) which is a pain if you were hoping to play it. Play it anyway on their endstep, and Essence Flux it later.
  • Nebelgast Herald is good, don't leave it out. Tap their attackers before combat, with it and a flashed in spirit friend.

Copy it, try it out, make it work, and tell how it went. This list is now very similar to Leighann Hunt's version from GP Portland. Sideboard is different. There probably needs to be room for Archangel Avacyn   too.

Updates Add

I now play the Bant version, deck:bant-espirit, with Tamiyo, Field Researcher and Permeating Mass. The Botanical Sanctum and the departure of Languish seems to have made this deck even better. Joey Manner's Pro Tour version (https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/492932#paper) made Top 8. I don't own Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, so that version is out of reach.
