People make jokes about cards such as Pack Hunt or Doubling Chant being "EDH staples," but today, these sarcastic japes will become a reality. With our friend, Meren of Clan Nel Toth , we have a green and black deck that uses the endless potential of our endless rat friend, Rat Colony , to generate card advantage and whacky graveyard shenanigans. Additionally, there are two nasty little aspects of this deck. One is well known; the Thrumming Stone combo. This allows you to potentially go through your entire deck, but using the tutors available, Aluren and Greater Good after you have three or more Rat Colonies in play are even better at that combo as it nets you card advantage, you can stop, and you can play some other cards you draw. Additionally, Ancient Ooze in this deck, that is all. You may also notice a sacrifice subtheme, and that's because these rat colonies are really easy to reanimate and get back, so it works wonders in a Meren deck.
