I have a G/B 60 card sac deck, and here are a few things that have been really good in that deck. Not sure if all will work for yours, but figured I'd throw out a few cards : )
Crashing Drawbridge I love giving big pay off creatures haste and if you don't need it then it's a sac target.
Eradicator Valkyrie Hits each opponent for a sac and can snowball by itself
Nether Traitor the sac you can always sac : )
Neverwinter Dryad is another tribe elder kinda
Storrev, Devkarin Lich is pretty great
Deadly Dispute such a great value engine and works awesome with things like Shambling Ghast
Tragic Slip is one of the best 1for1 removal spells in a deck where things are consistently dying around the table
Braids, Arisen Nightmare can be a very strong value engine
Rankle, Master of Pranks hits with haste early and can really shape the table
Bitterblossom can create a good stream of tokens to sac

With Meren in particular, I'd recommend creatures like Neverwinter Dryad and Sakura-Tribe Elder. They have built-in sacrifice abilities that boost Meren, and they can be recurred for extra value!

Meren, currently

Ideas:
Demon of Dark Schemes reanimation and a boardwipe
Any number of sac ramp creatures. A few examples Neverwinter Dryad Diligent Farmhand
Fog on a creature Spore Frog
Dread Return reanimation
Free sac outlet on cheap creatures Viscera Seer Carrion Feeder
Puppeteer Clique reanimation of an opponents threat (also works with persist combos if you choose to do that)
Midnight Reaper Grim Haruspex card draw upon death of a creature Liliana's Standard Bearer situational card draw
Mindslicer hate on blue players. Everyone discard their hand.
Mausoleum Secrets instant speed tutor
Victimize sac a creature return 2. Very good reanimation
For a few additional ideas take a look at My golgari deck it has a lifegain theme that won't translate but many off the cards beyond that might be good includes.

Yeah ThatWeirdPerson I totally undrestand your choices. At the end the possibilities with Meren are inmense and almost each set receibes one or two small interesting creatures to recurr.
The main advantage of cards like Neverwinter Dryad in Meren is mainly their capacity to sacrifice itself. Sometimes you don't get access to a sacrifice engine and cards like farhaven elf or wood elves despite being very good cards, they can't "die" by themselves and you could get stuck. But you already play Sakura tribe elder and dawntreader elk, so perfect.

Awesome deck!
Many people (like me) play Meren in more expensive / tryhard ways but I love to see people offering feedback for more budget friendly versions, so knew players or just people in casual enviroments can play with her too.
Some ideas: Neverwinter Dryad and Krosan Wayfarer (to have more ramp-sacrifice creatures like sakura tribe elder) Manglehorn and Thrashing Brontodon to artifact hate.

Lol your comment page is getting long. Had to scroll for a min.
Yeah I took a quick peak and there are a few tweaks/upgrades you can run over some others I think that wont be too overbudget.
I'd run:
Burnished Hart (under $2) or my favorite Yavimaya Elder (under $1) overDawntreader Elk/Neverwinter Dryad
So if your gonna pay to play lands you might as well get 2 for the price of one. Right? These 2 all stars allow you to pull 2 lands (deck thinning) and elder is even a static trigger which means you can sac to other outlets and still get value...soon much value lol.
Living Death(under $10) over Culling Ritual
Honestly I see the appeal in both. Culling however is more local meta based with high end, low cmc deck opponents. Living death covers a better wide meta and pairs amazingly with Dauthi Voidwalker, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet or even a Scavenging Ooze
Toski, Bearer of Secrets ($10) over Oakhame Adversary
If your running a draw engine like this toski is a clear winner over adversary because he covers each attacking creature so you can draw multiple cards per turn instead of 1.
Veil of Summer (under $10) over Heroic Intervention
This is a meta call swap. I like Veil because it protects you from counters and the 2 of the most popular wipe spells colors. And draws a card. But if your group is heavy on red and white intervention is better.
For Junji, the Midnight Sky I usually replace creature for creature but in your decks case you can trim a reanimate since you have about 9 not including Meren of Clan Nel Toth
Best replacement creature for creature is taking out Apprentice Necromancer, otherwise Dread Return or Life / Death.
I say these 2 because of the exile clause and death only targets your yard un-like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Necromancy which allow you to hit any yard.
Also you may want to add another free sac outlet. I highly recommend Altar of Dementia. It's budget friendly at around $10 ATM from mm2. Mill opponents and fills your yard fast. Great replacement for one of the extra reanimate spells you have.

Mazirek's Nut Sac
IHATENAMES, I touched on this in a previous comment, but also your edit hit it on the head. This is a squirrel tribal deck that just happens to have Mazirek as the commander. Thus, there's a lot of Mazirek-ey cards out there that there's no room for in here. It's meant for fun more so than competition.
That said, Sifter of Skulls might be helpful late-game, and Neverwinter Dryad is an effective sac outlet if nothing else, so I'll consider them both but don't know what I'd want to lose to add them in.
As for tutors, I own more Demonic Tutors than I have decks to put them in, but this deck doesn't really need them. The one infinite combo in there was accidental, and I don't try to pull it off unless it just kinda happens. Maybe to get to removal cards when I need them, but I'd much rather have that spot in the 99 filled with another removal card than something to fetch one with.
Dread Return is cool, and I'll playtest it. I'm sacrificing Squirrels so crazily as it is. I considered Victimize and Blood for Bones, but couldn't decide what to cut for them.
Cheers!

Mazirek's Nut Sac

Suggestions:
More ramp like Neverwinter Dryad to start doing bigger things earlier and that sac trigger or perhaps a creature that can help ramp like Sifter of Skulls it synergies well with your commander
More recursion like Dread Return to help in the long game also a free spell with all your squirrels
perhaps a tutor effect like Mausoleum Secrets or Rushed Rebirth for consistency
